the GSR refers to the base teg here in sg lah. only 160 ps. doesn't have the k20a2 found in the rsx-s with the 200 ps and doesn't respond as well in terms of mods. air intake at most add 5 horses, headers maybe another 5. total = 170 ps (140 ps on wheel) for a 2 litre "performance" car. weak. i might as well buy an old SiR. 1.6 litre b16a already producing that kind of power liaoOriginally posted by staticfree:def a gsr!!!!! tegs are beauties to drive, and compared to the celica, have a much better interior. also, its easy to modify and a CAI will increase your bhp by at least 15. then you look at the header and intake system, plus mugen ss spring, and you are ready to rock and roll!!!
save $ and get Tuscani!!!Originally posted by tailslide:the GSR refers to the base teg here in sg lah. only 160 ps. doesn't have the k20a2 found in the rsx-s with the 200 ps and doesn't respond as well in terms of mods. air intake at most add 5 horses, headers maybe another 5. total = 170 ps (140 ps on wheel) for a 2 litre "performance" car. weak. i might as well buy an old SiR. 1.6 litre b16a already producing that kind of power liao

yup, no deny that I want a poser car. that's why i suggested the GSR than the authentic Type S.Originally posted by HENG@:save $ and get Tuscani!!!![]()
whats the diff between gsr and type s?Originally posted by rumie:yup, no deny that I want a poser car. that's why i suggested the GSR than the authentic Type S.
Sigh, no money to buy better car, no choice lar~
But, I'll rather drive a Mitusbishi Lancer than the Tuscani. Think this car is notorious for it's resale options; difficult to get rid off. Right?
Hyundai somemore...
hm.....if u want value for money buy the WRX at below 100k....or maybe u can buy the Audi TT?Originally posted by rumie:Yea, basically thinking of getting either one.
Can't get a Type R, cos too ex. Restricting to a car that's less than $100k.
Not looking for performance, but mainly looking for a good 2-door coupe car for travelling ard.
lancer??? OMG....Originally posted by rumie:yup, no deny that I want a poser car. that's why i suggested the GSR than the authentic Type S.

ALl cars can be gotten rid of... Its juz the price.Originally posted by rumie:yup, no deny that I want a poser car. that's why i suggested the GSR than the authentic Type S.

is it? celica is cheaper than the GSR?Originally posted by Ah Wei:Not taking price factor into consideration, the standing are as follows (Stock):-
1) Honda Integra Type R - 2000cc , 220bhp
2) Toyota Celica SS2 - 1800cc, 180bhp
3) Honda Integra GSR - 2000cc, 160bhp
4) Toyota Celica SS1 - 1800cc, 145bhp
Believe price is in order too............ Celica will have cheaper road tax by ard $300 a yr i believe, and have more after market body kit then the GSR. Of cos, performance wise Type R is still the king among the 4 but believe the price diff between the Type R and SS2 is more than 10k.
Insurance wise, the top three belong to the PERFORMANCE CAR category and the SS1 is under coupe, so definitely cheaper, which you might want to consider.
Hope this information helps. Lastly, head that the new model of Celica will be out later this year.

And dun think u get a mitsu or toyota, u will have a higher resale value. Everything is relative. If u pay a tuscani price, u get a tuscani resale value. =)
i think if u want slightly more power especially for the Lancer u should buy the Lancer Ralliart Turbo.....at least more power and like a lower end sport car...but u should change the intercooler if thats the case.....the review say that the small intercooler not good.......Originally posted by rumie:serious? the only thing that is stopping me from going down to the showroom and paying the $500 (only!!!) deposit to book the car is, I've heard ESPECIALLY this Hyundai Tuscani being difficult to sell after the breakeven year.
And i dunno whether it's becasue it's Hyundai, or
because it's a coupe car, or
becasue it's a Hyundai coupe car,
that is difficult to sell.
What do you people think?
What is the market like for coupe car?
That's why i'm thinking of getting a mit lancer, a normal saloon car that won't hv any prob selling of (i think).
i think lancer turbo is a waste of money... its neither here nor there... mitsubishi can do better to try and compete wif the rex...Originally posted by ceecookie:i think if u want slightly more power especially for the Lancer u should buy the Lancer Ralliart Turbo.....at least more power and like a lower end sport car...but u should change the intercooler if thats the case.....the review say that the small intercooler not good.......
NICE. I was just comparing cars in their stock form. If you throw enough money at these cars they will and do go fast...Originally posted by HENG@:i have a friend in the states... his Celica is a low 13s car.
