may I ask you one question?
how to change from the most right lane to the most left lane? (3 lanes in total)
I can't see the left lanes by my rear view mirror.. but without big problem from left lanes to right lanes.
Still my weak point, will have a PT soon liao!

There's something called left side mirror and checking ur left blind spot... same method as changing lanes from left to right... signal left, look at rear view, then left side mirror... check left blind spot... check left mirror and blind spot then change... do one lane at a time....Originally posted by SGDaniel:may I ask you one question?

3 step does it...
1) Look at your rear view mirror to check (must adjust to your angle lar)
2) left side mirror to check again
3) Lastly, blind spot glance before proceeding to switch...
Practice will make u more confident and skillful.. Good luck! -

for left to right is much easier for me coz I can see from the rear mirror and my mirror can't see those cars on my left.... sigh...

u can see the right lane but not the left?
logic thinking hor, it should be more easy to see ur left lei. cos we r driving on the right hand side. ur mirror position got big problem! got to sort tat out fast. ur first lesson, u should get ur mirror right already. the mirror must be position in a way tat u must be able to see the rear windscreen four corner. -

jus remember tat, since u r from BBDC, u should have one booklet, other than the basic and final theory book. tat one is from BBDC itself one. tat book is very useful. it also got teach u how to adjust ur mirror. and also got picture to show u tat u got to see wat view then is correct position. pls go and look up tat book!

my instructor taught me to adjust the mirror till u can see the kerb slightly above the middle of yr mirror. tester oso taught me before lane change, must always look at the rear mirror first and then glance at the side mirror. tat shud give u an overall view of what's behind you in order to switch lanes either left or right.Originally posted by SwtHippy:and oso dont pointing too much on the floor... -

I am sure that I should adjust my rear mirror liao lar... I have passed all lessones and final evaluation. my TP is one month later.... still a little bit scared...
I booked 3 more revision lessons right before my test, should be enough liao, am I right? -

can see the kerb? wat if u r not park by the road side? know for bbdc, sometime, our handover (meaning u go over driver seat) is sometime in the middle of the circuit road, then start to adjust seating and mirror, then how u adjust it?
my recommedation is
for rear mirror, must see all four corner of rear windscreen.
for side mirror, 1/5 must see ur car body, the car body u see is the door behind and the tail. then see the car body tat portion, must see 4/10 window screen, 6/10 door. -

ur rear mirror, sure can see the behind part of ur left lane one. the behind part, i refer to as the part where u turn ur head around to see. it the same one.
now, in changing lane. i don use the rear mirror tat much to help. but must still use to check la.
the most important is the left mirror. after u see the rear mirror got no car imagine getting big very fast(if got, mean the car is coming from behind in fast speed.). the see ur left mirror. left mirror sure let u see wat left lane got, see the imagine again. but don stare at it. make quick decision. if imagine remain or become smaller, check ur blind spot, if clear, move out to change lane liao. if imagine become bigger, then mean dangerous. cannot change lor.
then when u from most right lane wanna to go back to most left lane. u do wat i say liao hor. is from most right lane to center lane. then hor, u got to do the checking one more time from the middle or center lane to the most left lane. do all this lane by lane.
when checking mirror to change lane. don accelarate, maintain speed, if not, let go off accelarate. this is personally experience. got once, i doing mirror check and still accelerate. cos checking mirror, then did;t realise tat the car infront have already apply brake and slow down. but lucky for me, tat time, i m still a learner with BBDC. then got instructor by my side. alway learn from mistake. drive more and u will learn more. -

After u drive for some time, use ur sensing will tell u when is it an appropriate distance to stop from the kerb and such...No need 1/5 of this and 1/4 of that...
Just practice more while u can... -
