Prices will depend on prevailing exchange rates and I guess it will also depend on whether the government will change the tax rates on cars.
Tentative quotes have hovered abt 150k for the GSR version. -

Someone in this forum said once, "Mitsubishi should stick to making appliances".
I fully agree... No wonder they're in financial difficulty. The keep throwing new models, making the older ones obsolete so fast, I'd think 10x before buying an Evo.
It's not even that they're making the cars better... throw a couple of things on, change the design a little... throw on another model number...

Now think of the 04 model of any car, and then the 05, and ask what the manufacturer changed, besides just some minor cosmetic change.
Then think about what Mitsubishi changed from the MR to the IX

new magnesium/titanium turbo
rear diffuser kit
IMHO, it is much more than just cosmetic. The new MIVEC engine delivers up to 20% more torque across some rpm bands and the new mag/titanium turbo spools up 500rpm earlier than the one used in the MR.
What would you get with the 05 Civic vs the 04?
Mitsubishi may be doing a number of things wrong when it comes to management, but designing new Evos is not one of them. -

The EVO 9 have taken on a the 4G56 Mivec Engine, instead of the traditional 4G63 used on the EVO7 & 8.
It is also the first time the handshake agreement between Subaru, on the capp at 280 BHP, is broken!
It's definitely gonna cost more than the EVO 8's first launch, to be exclusive.

It isn't 276kW. It's 276hp or 280ps, which is the Japanese agreement for AWD cars. It is 250ps for 2WD cars. And torque figures are off too. Max torque is 40.8 for the regular titanium turbo, and 41.3 for the new mag titanium turbo, both reaching max torque at 3000rpm. So it looks like the agreement is still in effect, if only on paper. Technically, though, it is just a simple ECU reflash to regain the lost horsepower since all of the new cars (STI, Spec C, Evo 8/MR etc) are all capable of much more.
And no, I have seen some dealers quoting less than S$150k for the 9 GSR, which is considerably lower than what the 8 and MR initially listed at. -
