Which car is the best if u were to choose and reasons for the recommendation?
Which one has the lowest repair cost civic or altis?
Altis and Civic maybe a few hundreds dollars different, but price wise they are pretty close to each other.Originally posted by flyhigh!:Hi ppl, need kind advice from you.

Actually, most if not all figures quote by distributors are usually achieve under circumstances that u and i wont get..Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Latio's FC is 14km/L??
Wow, first time Nissan has become the class leader in fuel consumption..
they are only saying that the nissan sunny's cvt engine is a drinker ... i never heard pple saying about other nissan models ... not yet anywayzOriginally posted by flyhigh!:Thanks for the advice from u all. after my own evaluation, i would prefer a civic. Before that, is there any bad points about this car not in term of speed or performance, but in term of long lasting (repairing cost after 3 yrs).
this is due to i would like to drive a car as long as possible at least for abt 6 yrs.
Anyway, i did hear some of the nissan cars consume petrol like drinking water![]()

I owned both honda and toyota before. Honda, the engine is much more responsive than toyota, especially those with Vtec engine. The vtec is activated by fuel pressure. When your's RPM climb high enough, the vtec valve will open, then the engine gain extra torque, so car accelerate better.
Toyota's vvti engine is not the same, it's valve speed constantly changes to achieve better combustion effiency. So the vvti will save you more fuel.
For Latio's petrol consumption of 14 km/Litre, I think what written on the technical specification is not always true. Your driving habit matter the most, in regard to the petrol comsumption. To know Latio's petrol consumption good or bad, better get plenty of feedback from people who owned it. So that generally, you would know whether the petrol comsumption good or bad. Please note: For the case of Nissan's sunny, the petrol consumption written on the technical specification is not really accurate. So much complaint from people due it's high petrol consumption for years oready! Some friends even told me, it can only do a 9 km/litre.Altis and Civic maybe a few hundreds dollars different, but price wise they are pretty close to each other.
Points I noted on these 2 cars are, Toyota has a good name when come to petrol consumption, I don't know about Honda. Maybe you want to ask the sales-persons how much km/L
I tested drive both Honda and Toyota, I find Honda steering is slimmer then toyota; I felt I have better control with a thicker steering wheel.
If you prefer power (e.g. over-taking other cars), Honda has a good name for it's engine power over Toyota. I think Toyota is a family car whereas Honda is a more sporty one.
If you are particular about where it is made from, Toyota is from thai, Honda.... should be Japs (not sure though).
Nissan Latio 1.5L launching tomorrow - I like its super quiet engine, I enjoyed the music on the radio when I tested drive. Seats are very executive (high-class...if you know what I mean?). Other features I like include keyless ignition, 14km/L petrol consumption, adjustable back-seats to 45 degree (sport version only) for passengers and forward-backward for more cargo space (sport version only), ionised air-con etc.

Satisfacted with toyota.
But VVTI can't win Honda's I-DSL. I-DSL is doing average 16 km/litre!so amazing!!!
Toyota best.
Ever hit 700km in one full tank?
Every new Civic comes with skyhigh prices... always did.Originally posted by vtec-turbo:Completely new civic coming in 2006........both altis and civic are old models.....Latio new but not worth the money....wait for the new civic....

Yes, I guess of the 3 options, Civic would be the best choice. Too bad Honda went limp-wristed with the Civics since they discontinued the SiR.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:i wud definitely take a civic lor.
