I saw the new nissan on the road yesterday..Think they just arrived in singapore..Seems to be going quite fast but duno know about the model n tech specs..But the design not that nice leh..Look abit like the city shape..

Anyway ... i think that 258bhp@6000rpm ... must b something wrong with the report ... unless u r telling me that Latio is using 350Z's V6 engine.

i've seen the latio in showrooms, will go for a test drive soon.. but without even test driving, i feel it's too highly priced, placed next to a mz3 it's clear which one i would choose. both base models start at 69k.
maybe after i test drive it then it'll be different, but i doubt i'd choose it over the mz3 still, unless there's a significant price difference. -

ok. i test drove the latio today.
to be fair, this car score points in the following area.
1) suspension & control - I cornered at high speed (30 -40km/h) my rear passenger indicated to me that he does not felt being thrown off the seat.
2) CVT - excellently smooth
3) Extremely spacious cabin and boot for its size.
4) Very quiet. Excellent sound insulation.
5) Steering - Good feel, not too light, good feedback
The car did not score in the following
1) looks - subjective, I find it generally OK. at least better than the City
2) pick up from standstill - the initial pickup is bad, does not fell the surge forward even when I accelerate hard, but once above 30kmh, can feel the power coming in, when engine is in the power zone. (me driving a YRVT, does tends to be more pick-up hungry)
3) Price slightly steeper than a Civic.
Overall - i would go for the latio. I would say it is in its own class, compared to current models available in the market. -
From all the car reviews, it would seem that it is indeed leagues ahead of the old Sunny...
