Mobil or Shell ?

Is Mobil 8000 equivalent to Shell 98 ? I mean the petrol quality and substance ? My home nearby has no Shell. If I forgot to pump on my way back from work, I have to pump Mobil 8000 when my fuel tank runs low especially during weekend.
Need your advice and comment :
1) I know Mobil and Shell both has discount + points (I have both Citibank and UOB credit card). Which vendor's points give more freebies and their freebies are good ... aka .... electronics and etc)
2) Mobil vs Shell ... which one is better for Mazda 6 ?
3) Can mix Mobil and Shell when the fuel tanks low ? I know it sure works ... otherwise my car will not move .... but does it harm the engine of having a mix petrol over time ?

Dunno abt the rebates, but for my car somehow Mobil/Esso gives slightly better mileage and the car seems a little more responsive, however louder. Not sure if ull feel it in the auto Mazda 6. As for mixing its fine, so long of the same octane no. i suppose.

unless your car is a FORMULA 1 that need a special formula fuel... then u can compare.. get my point?

Dont think it Matters. Honestly. Shell 98 and Mobil 8000 are both RON98 Mogas. So the specs are there. Unless You are really concerned with the slight minute differences that the 2 companies have in their choice of additives
To me SHell does gimme better mileage. But if you've been using Mobil .. stick to it..
It is indeed safe to interchange the Petrol from both companies.
Noise could be due to your choice of engine oils..
