Hi guys,
does honda CITY 1.5 5MT i-DSI (BASIC) has safety bag for the driver. I heard some say got, some say totally dont have
and what does anti-braking system does? is it important?
if driver seat has safety bag and abs not important, may just get the honda city manual i-DSI as i heard it is more fuel-economy compared to honda city vtec
anyone to enlighten me?
The iDSI on offer now comes only with driver's side airbag. No passenger airbag, ABS, EBD and so forth. All these extra offering are found on the vtec model only. Earlier iDSI model do offer such features though.
ABS will give you steering control when you apply e-brake and not locked your brake, causing uncontrollable, skid. It will not shorten your braking distance.
I believe you still can get the iDSI with the extra safety fetaures but need to pay a few k more. The price would come up same as vetc.
vtec model FC fares slightly poorer than iDSI as vetc employs conventional 4 spark plugs while idsi 8 plugs. iDSI will normally gives you about 17km/litre, auto transmission.
Cheers!
cool pal!
thx for the valuable info!!
so,do u advise to get one with ABS or without or doesnt matter?
Personally, I feel ABS gives you better control in emergency situation and that's all to it. You still need to drive safely and keep your distance. No amount of safety features will save your life if you drive like a F1 driver. Ouyr fathers drives yesteryear cars without ABS, EBD, airbag and they still do fine lah...
I have experienced ABS kicking in on 2 occassion due to stupid army truck with faulty brake light. I am still alive and that testify to the goodness of ABS. If I am you, I would be kiasu and grab a car with as much safety features as possible. 2 airbags are norm now. Look at those that comes with 6 or 12 airbags...wow! Imaaine an accident and all the airbags inflate and you get 'whacked' left, right, centre!"
