Switching from car to LCV

I am thinking of switching my Corolla to a Light Commercial Van ... any recommandations?
Saw the Opel Combo, seems very Aerodynamic and has Turbo some more
Of course for Diesel lah
Dunno if its slow ??? -

Both stock vehicle....
verified at 40 tiang....me inside as passenger.....
The New CDTI also powerful....its at 240Nm or 250 Nm....
If sg the Car& Cars is bringing in the NEW VW caddy TDI(currently only hv the SDI,not the TDI), den u put in super chip..u see the power increase. make a search on the net..VW Racing Cup,2004..u see the spec after tune by Superchip for the new Caddy,400+Nm...The Old Caddy, sg no more liao...only if u dun mind 2nd hand....
TDI = Turbo Diesel Injection...Some ppl tat drive car may laugh at diesel got turbo..but when u drive it, u will know the torque is WAY more den normal cars...meaning stock standart can win some normal cars...got the stick to the seat feeling...for caddy the old TDI lah..
I last time also laugh at my friend, say his van turbo can be how powerful..but when he bring me for a ride, my eyes ..

i drove my dad's new opel combo tdi. can feel the turbo spooling after 2k rpms at WOT and i was like not bad for a "van".
from the rear view mirror, i look behind can see lots of black smoke when i floored. den i also saw my dad's black face -

Opel combo i saw in the classified, not bad they even do a comparison with other LCV and specs of the Combo proves to be superior in most aspects....i guess except fc as it is turbo...but who cares since it is diesel....
But i suggest dont buy van first, as there are speculation going on about installing windows at the back of the vans, so maybe wait for the law to be passed first or things to settle down first and confirm first... -

Dunno if its slow ??? We're in Singapore... your Opel can have a jet engine inside and it won't matter. It's speed is still limited by a little round sticker on the back. -

I would rather my LCV comes without the back mirror as it will be more cosier for me to install a 17' to 18" LCD tv in it and but a theater system .... thats my dream and i am working towards it ...
Regarding the issue on FC, i have checked with bros and sis from Euroclub ... they deemed that Combo is a better choice as it is gentler on the wallet ...
Maybe the next meeting will see me in a Mobile Theater -

Can also consider Renault Kangoo. There are two types (1) diesel (2) petrol auto.

Kangoo seems like the most popular choice here but when I went into the van, i dont really like the interior, would prefer the peugeot partner(more comfortable interior) or combo (better spec in terms of performance)...

As a combo fan, my advise is to improve on the soundproofing and change to more quiet tyres ..... your new combo will be perfect!!!

I have lived with Road noise almost all the time i drive my Corolla leow ... so if this have road noise i still can live with it, BUT if this ride feels slower then my Corolla, whoa buay sai man ... sure sell one ... -
I've sat in a new CDTI, compare to the old DTI I have driven, I would say is a great improvement liao...
15 inch sport rims
ABS
upgraded power and torque
Much quieter and less vibration engine. Almost silent at idle
Four disc brake
Read some where if you know how to drive the CDTI, it should not have problem beating corolla in a race owning to its good mid range torque..
In terms of power delivery ...CDTI would beat the new Caddy. Kangoo,partner , berlingo but not so sure for dobola Fiat.
My choice would be a CDTI, if I am getting a van, the dobola is too ugly IMO
