  unless there is a specific model of cars u like if not will recommend 1st hand car..
  cos i think most car will have accident b4 juz that is juz major one or minor one.

  i today went to see some second hand car... there is this honda concerto monthly 300 plus ... 0 downpayment... vehicle quite good condition... hrmm quite attractive sia... dont know leh how the performance and petrol consumption.

  Road tax for more than 10 year old car increase by 10% each year after the 10th year amd up to a max of 150%,
  
  11th year - 110% of road tax
  12th year - 120% of road tax
  13th year - 130% of road tax
  14th year - 140% of road tax
  15-20th year - 150% of road tax
  
  Insurance will be definately more expensive than new cars so old cars more prone to break down
  
  COE for the 2nd decade for the car will be based on 3 month average if I did not remember wrongly

  if looking for the civic three door go for EK9... eg6 too old liao.. those car sure give people rammed till very hard b4 liao. so u wan to find good condition one is abit hard.

  ek9 = Civic Type R... i think you're talkin about EK4

  i hav a friend who want to sell his 92 honda civic esi 3 dr wif sunroof....the car has been done up...wif new rims/tyres...adjustable suspension...cool n lite....new headlight n wif light tune packages.....

  prepare 5k for repairs if u are buying second cars...
  
  many parts will have worn out and you will need to change, air con might not be as cold as before.. clutch might have worn, brake pistons might be rusty, power window might not work as the rubber hardens after so many years, car might drink more fuel and the list goes on..
