Why the same car but the other have more consumption? Example : more than 100km difference..
Why turning got sound? NOTE: its not the drive shaft..
Why car can't start? NOTE: its not the battery..
Why air-con blower so soft? NOTE: its not low gas..
Why after some distance the car got weird sound from engine compartment? NOTE: its not engine gone case...
I can go on and on, and all these, I doubt you can get it from the net..
anyway I thank you for the time and I appreciated it.. thanks

Any satay sauce in the engine?Originally posted by jiayong:hmm..actually i would like to know other than the drive shaft..what else can cause noise when turning.
Also..yesterday i tried to help a satay uncle start his car. His battery wasnt flat but the spark plugs just wont give electricity to the engine to ignite. All fuses were checked and were intact. Couldnt diagnose whats wrong other than the dristributor may be faulty.
Cameron..can help me out pls?
Try turning without pressing the accelerator, hear if there's any sound.. try turning with accelerator again, if there's sound, most probably it's the gearbox.. need a overhaul..Originally posted by jiayong:hmm..actually i would like to know other than the drive shaft..what else can cause noise when turning.

how do u actually "check" them?Originally posted by caramon:Try turning without pressing the accelerator, hear if there's any sound.. try turning with accelerator again, if there's sound, most probably it's the gearbox.. need a overhaul..
1) check the spark plugs.
2) check the cables.
3) check the starter motor.
4) check the wirings.
The book, priced at $9.90 will reveal everything..Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:how do u actually "check" them?![]()
a little insight here will certainly help convince us to buy your book.Originally posted by caramon:The book, priced at $9.90 will reveal everything..![]()
if battery not flat and no spark, means the spark plugs could be fouled (no pun intend) was it all covered in carbon? uncle satay's engine could have been running too rich and the cause of it could have a direct link to the prob of starting the engine. the intake system could be clogged, the injectors may be jammed, heck, the engine might not be cranking in the 1st place. too many ways to try to trouble shoot a car that doesn't start with the simple push/ jump start technique.Originally posted by jiayong:hmm..actually i would like to know other than the drive shaft..what else can cause noise when turning.

You did all that yesterdae??Originally posted by jiayong:a little insight here will certainly help convince us to buy your book.
Well for starters..here is a tip to see if the distributor is supplying electricity to your spark plug cables.
1. Plug out one spark plug cable.(engine off)
2. Attach a metal piece(like a long screw driver) inside the cable and touch the metal piece to a metal part (like the engine block)
3. Crank the engine. (dont hold on to the metal piece)
4. If you see a spark along the metal piece then the distributor is working fine and supplying electricity to the spark plug cables.
by the way i got craving for satay.Originally posted by tailslide:if battery not flat and no spark, means the spark plugs could be fouled (no pun intend) was it all covered in carbon? uncle satay's engine could have been running too rich and the cause of it could have a direct link to the prob of starting the engine. the intake system could be clogged, the injectors may be jammed, heck, the engine might not be cranking in the 1st place. too many ways to try to trouble shoot a car that doesn't start with the simple push/ jump start technique.![]()
