How to differentiate between a Civic VTi and SiR?

I see a lot of Civics on the roads.... and some of them have the SiR wording below their right rear lights... I'm just curious to know how to differentiate a real Sir from those who are not, and just put a sticker there...
Anyone knows? -

VTI - vtec1.5 single cam and the SIR - twin cam 1.6 vtec
externall i think is the sunroof and the colour f the car.
obious this all can be spray or modified de.
best is open the bonnet and see -
I guess we are talking about generally. you know it is not an SiR when it does not have a sunroof, on the contrary, a civic with a sunroof is not necessary a SiR.

too bad it's an auto, with 155 bhp; the manual version has 170 stallions -
For Auto geared EK Civics, VTi will have sports mode underneath the top right hand spoke of the steering wheel; Just like the latest model of City. SiR will not have this cos SiR is 4 speed auto while VTi is CVT driven.

best way to tell is still to pop the bonnet. by far, the most tell tale sign has still gotta be the sunroof and the "hole in the headrest" seats. if u can look inside at the tachometer, the SiR has a higher redline of 8200 rpms (auto is lower, bout 7800). all these can be changed, so like i said, the best way to tell is to pop the bonnet. SiR comes equipped with the B16A4 (twin cam black valve cover) whereas the vti comes with a D16Z (single cam silver valve cover). -
See if the driver is an Ah Beng a not....if yes, then sure SIR one....cause wanna show off....and their Ah Lian girlfriends, all wear short skirts and got gold hair one....steam sia....wonder if they give BJ when the Ah Beng driving....ahahah

by then it won't be just 80km/h, cos the beng's foot already gone too soft to control the gas pedal... and when you see 'that' smile on his face, but you can't spot any company in the passenger's seat, then you know it's gotta be happening right down there

If is a real SIR, drive by those age 20+ bengs, got modded their car type..den pray hard he dun "tiak" u...
But depend on wat car u drive also....if stock rex...may not be able to par wid it at high speed..of cos if the civic bugger go drop B18 or B20 or put stroker kit..den -

The '96 onwards Vti and SiR have the same chasis except for the sunroof (SiR). Only the engine is different SOHC and DOHC.
(as for the claim that the Esi has a sunroof - only if it's an after market one. He probably saw a '92 - '95 Vti. That car has the same chasis as the Esi, but with sunroof and DOHC engine too).
So... the only way you can tell... Like Heng says, cause an accident - but make it SO CHIA LAT that the engine flys out. If SOHC - '96 onwards Vti, if DOHC - SiR... if a V6 flys out - go report to ROV -

Heh... but in the sgcarmart link that I posted up, the price is about $35-$40k... SiR only costs that much? Tot it would have cost more...
