  I was thinking maybe so many rental enquiries, might as well start a thread.
  
  Post your car rental experience here, any occasion when you have rented a car.

  From: Downtown car rental
  Rate per day: $88 per day - Rent 2 days get 1 say free (on weekdays)
  Car driven: Subaru Impreza 1.6TS (M)
  Collection: At Queen Street
  Experience: Nil except for the fact that 1st time engine boxer engine, quite fun...
  
  Date of rental - Late 2004
  From: Alex (Tankaloy)
  Rate per day: $65 per day
  Car driven: Toyota 1.5E (A)
  Collection: Novena MRT

  Rent fm a guy call Michael , few years back b4 getting my own car. From his name card it seems to me he is a used car dealer. Collection of car was at Hougang Blk 300 or 600++, i can rem its near a temple. He charge between $50 to $120 depends of the age of the car. Gd thing abt renting fm him is no deposit is need. But now im not sure .

  Experience: clean, powerful car but bad bad oil consumer

  Car driven: Lancer(auto)
  Collection: yishun
  Experience: Not a very good person to rent from, car condition good but owner isn't, very particular about everything.. even fine me for over $400 for nothing.. milage restriction also.. remember to READ the contract when given

  have good experiences with General Cars.............rented 2 to 3 times from them.......around $50 about 1 to 2 years back......1.3 to 1.5 litres cars, from proton wira to mitsubishi lancer.......clean interior.....fuel efficient.......well maintained

  I just got my driving license.. er less than 4days ago? Went to check out some places but all must be of minimum age 21 +++abv and no P-plates T-T Was wondering if anyone have experience renting from one who do not have those criterias? and of coz cheap too :p budgetttttttttttttttt...
  
  @ the same time, izzit advisable to drive a auto car straight? (mine is manual license), feel kinda scared esp. i am new on the big fat roads and may get 'excited' w/o the clutch etc
  
  (T-T all drivers have to go thru the P stage mah T-T why dun let me driveeeeee... wouldnt want to be like my friend who got her license for over 1yr no $ + not eligible to rent a car, then after 1 yr her driving skills gets rusty and yet unable to drive..)

  Cityspeed does allow P Platers... just have to pay $120 more for insurance when you register as member...

  there are some 2nd hand dealers or private car owners renting out to P-plate and they advertised on classified section 361...
  
  you can source for it there...but do be careful of the details form that you maybe signing

  Seems like almost everybody has got rather pleasant experience with car rental...Looks like I am the suay one... I saw this advert on yahoo auction and decide to give it a try
  
  Anyway, dun rent from this guy. Not only a bad experience but no experience at all.
  
  Car: Hyundai Getz 1.3A (Black - 5 door)
  Reg Plate: NO NUMBER PLATE ALLOW (saw the photo on the auction)
  Contact: 94870344
  
  Never turned up at the mutually arranged place at time and date of collection. Cause much inconvenience and trouble for me as I needed the car for a dinner function later in that day. What really pissed me off is that he switch off his hp and did not call to explain himself. Seems like he disappeared into thin air...
  
  It might be well a good thing that I did not rent from him as he requires a deposit...heng...I never put the money with him if not might not even take the money back.

  $50 per day
  Toyota Corolla(A)
  Collection at Telok Blangah Hghts.
  Experience..ok ok lor..got into minor accident. A lot of talk lah.

  From a lady at Telok Blangah Hghts
  Hyundai Trajet(A) @ $120 per day
