As for the yahoo auction, ya, quite cheap for the X-type, but even if rental is real and cheap, fc wouldnt be, for it is a jag with a 2.5 V6 engine.
Regarding the bad rating, check his current auction to see if he was bad rated for rental related. Because usually people who rent thru auction dont bid but liaise directly with the person. But, no doubt it say something about the person character. -

Usually one or two bad rating on yahoo auction does not affect the seller much. But in this case, it might becos firstly, he has not has even good rating and secondly, all his auctions are car rental that does not require the interested parties to bid. -

Personally, I think it is not worth it to rent a car... $60-$80 for 1 day.. Then if for 1 week leh? Isn't it around $500?
Then for 1 month, it will be $2000. I know some charge cheaper like eg $1400 per month. But I guess, it will be more economical to buy your own car.
I remember a few years back, I read from a newspaper article. Somehow, they proved that rented car is better than owning a car. BUT... That is long-term renting, say, 2-3 years.
Anyone think the same? -

by buying a car, you are actually "renting" for 10 years or more isn't it?
You have to consider the road tax, insurance,maintenance when you "buy" a car..when you rent a car, the road tax, insurance, maintenance are already included in the rental rate...
what i like best is that i will not be in debt for the car loan for what 5 to 10 years for car rental.
Yes, car rental per month will be cost more if you rent than buy, but then, you need not take care of the tax, insurance, maintenace i have mentioned. -

thanks.......anyway, if you are not a P-plate, think downtown travel rental has a 3-series for rental. Personally have not tried before. Not cheap, something like $168 per day. Can call 63341700 to check . -

I hav yet to try out his vios, but its damn new lor. and i am sure the price is reasonable for such a new car. if i'm not wrong, its his wife's car. the location is quite near north area too. owner is friendly and easy-going. chk it out. i will do tat soon!! -
