  not EVO fast, but it's a plesant little pocket rocket. i reckon... under 9s.
  someone on another site superchipped his and it does 0-100 in 7.9s. It's the spiritual preceedor to the Suzuki Ignis Sport.

  woooooo...ok......drove ignis sport b4...enjoyable sprints from one traffic light to another...hmmm.......seems pretty old eh that swift...hard to find one...most of my frens either drive toyotas...civics....and the occasional ignis sport...

  Suzuki Swift GTi... from late 80s to early 90s. very old car, but i liked it a lot. It was a very nice alternative to civics.
  
  most noticable differences between the GTi and the non-GTi 3 dr hatches are:
  - all around disc brakes on the GTi, drum brakes at the back for non-GTi
  - dual exhaust pipes stock on the GTi, single exhaust on the non-GTi
  - alloys as standard on GTi

  toyota starlet is the one tat is comparable to swift at period 80s-90s.
  This cars are regarded as being afforable to many boy racers at that time.

  take the NEW swift for example....101 BHP from a 1.4L engine and it works!!! the liana is good also wad...simon cowell can do fast lap times with this car...

  old swift GTi better... between 100 to 110bhp from a 1.3l.
