I am taking pte...how come raining days dun learn parking one?
Last sat, my instructor ask to driving on the test routes only....that test route at the kaki bukit with slope very difficult. -
Coz the tester lazy to walk out in the rain.

They normally ask u drive on test routes to be familiar (but sometimes testers can change route like mine on actual PT day). Then see u can roughly handle driving liao teach u parking lor. Can be outside @ the small public carpark (free) or circuit ($22/entry). circuit more expensive T-T
For my case is like that lar (er in fact, why raining days bo learn parking i also duno..or just coincidence? lol)
Btw.. the test route with slope is route 2 izzit?

YoZ, bubblepearl, well an advise to u as ubi is well known for busy traffic esp jams during the off work peak.( U shld know if u learn driving during the evening time) Take note if u r driving towards Eunos, quite heavy traffic there esp ard 4pm. Anyway, 3.45pm is also quite near to buslane timing which 4.30pm, make sure u dun drive into the bus lane. May I also add that anyone taking their TP test, don't get the 0815 and the 1145 slot, that's because 0815 => bus lane time plus loads of pple taking the PIE Eunos entrance.
As for the 1145, you do the circuit for about 20 minutes, by the time you go out to open road, it'll be early 1200, where everyone in Ubi is going out for lunch etc..... changing lanes, especially if you get your test route at Route 6/7 (the one where you pass the Eunos flyover and past the PIE Eunos entrance),
best of luck changing lane, it won't a normal 'no car just change lane',
You'll have to moderate your speed so that you don't cut too quickly in front of the car behind and also change lane.
Ubi, personally is one of the toughest but best place to learn driving.
If you can pass Ubi Route 6 & 7, Orchard Road on weekends isn't too far behind.

Ppl let u go first sometimes.. coz U are the BIGGEST with a tester beside. HAHAA.. And.. if you heng all do 1 time can liao very fast de.
It's only certain test routes u need to take note some routes wun be affected. while some only a section got bus lane (except the notorious route 6 n 7)

Anyway.. buslane part hor.. must remember only 1 part have.. then near a T junction bo liao. Must keep left or might tio demerit for road hogging. If i din remember wrongly.. My instructor say.. if alot alot alot cars then canot change then keep to lane 2 lor @.@ easier to change lane to U-turn. hehee.. -

Hahha, yah, Route 6 & 7 are killer routes.
I remembered I had 40 pple with me in the Ubi test room before my test.
Out of 40 pple, only 12 pass.
And only one lady who took the Route 6/7 out of six passed.
Personally I think Route 1/10 (the route where you go through a big round through the HDB flats and then left turn on red light) is one of the easiest.
The U Turn is easy and it's within the factory areas so changing lane is not difficult at all.
6 & 7, can be a dud at times, if you're lucky, pple stay away from you and let you cut... although majority of the time lane changing on 6 & 7 isn't easy.
You have to be aggressive and skilled, it's a challenge for some of us, but for all learning drivers, it's a much unwanted thing you ever want to do. -

Just finish my driving lesson today.My instructor say i very weak at my turning at junction. I dun really know what is the distance that i can turn before that car coming straight.

the first time i got my hands behind the wheels in the circuit i asked the instructor "how to know if i in lane anot?" and he begins to tell me all sorts of way to judge where am i, am in in lane or anot straight anot. but in the end i found out the best method is to have the feeling.
in ur case, there's lots of way shoulder in line then turn, turn abit when side mirror touch line and many more. but in the end i guess must have the feeling. with more practise i think it should be juz fine.

Im also taking on 29 Apr 2nd TP. First TP circuit do sui sui no 0pts., outside RIP.
Actually circuit easy, outside lame. -
lol actually circuit is more like dead stuff. parking etc but outside is with other road users... anything can happen suddenly.. my first PT also RIP ... changing lane.. see taxi far far behind.. then change liao tester say i bo see taxi. %$^&*( duno izzit he speed up or was i real slow T-T anyway.. outside is more of reality and flexibility bah... see how u react to different situations.. coz u will nv know what freaking stuff other ppl will do outta the blue-_-"
