RX8 is capable of having a 15km/L FC
that is if you drive like a normal car cos its only 1300cc
but who in the right mind would do that with a sports car leh??..LOL -

It is rather clear that the RX-8 is not an "replacement" of the lamet RX-7 coz it isnt, but rather just another rotary interpation.Initally when it was 1st launched,almost wanted to get the JDM MT from MM but had a change of plans.
Although the RX-8 has the look of a "race-tuned sports car",it requires high engine speeds to make its peak power.
Anyway,the feel of the grip for corners through the steering wheel is not bad,noise level are well kept,the delivery is also quite smooth,not forgetting its "4dr" concept.It has been seen to be more like a family "coupe" to many,no wonder quite a number of the older age group individuals are driving this car. Overall,quite a fun car to drive while still remaining livable on a day-to-day basis. -
Has anyone managed to get that kind of FC using a stock Rx-8? I always had the impression the rotary engine would burn more fuel... esp since the Rx-7 was quite bad too...Originally posted by RooP:nope u are wrong

Read in the newspapers sometime back that it's average FC was about 8-10km/L... quite bad for a 1300cc if it's true... -
Guys thanks... Honestly I do agree with dreamcast that the RX8 is not a comparison with RX7..no doubt abt it. Wish they had the new generation coming but at this stage unfortunately not.
Read that the RX8 car is rather under powered for it's class...disappointed!!!!
At 140 lb/ft of torque thats not kool
On the contrary, considering the road tax & insurance...it's a plus point to re consider

well FC is something which varies between different styles of drivers,yes its confirm possible,a JDM Type S can average from 14 to 15 L / 100km that was
at that time when i knew it was stock. -

I tot the FC would be too hard to maintain, so decided to strike it off my list, but if it can really get up to 14-15km/L, then it's definitely worth considering... -

Sorry to disappoint u, but 14km/l for RX8 not quite possible. RX8 fuel about 8-10km/L although its only 1300cc rotary engine. And insurance is not cheap, although its cheaper then other sports cars.

7-9km/L very good liao, used to know a friend on RX-7 FD3S full tank can only go 300-350km which the car is in stock condition.
