Vibrating steering wheel

today when driving i felt my steering vibrate when i go close to 100KM/H and it gets worse as i go faster...yest wasnt liddat leh....wad could be the cause??

last i heared for my vehicle was because there was some stones in the tyres

Your wheels might need balancing. If left uncorrected, excessive vibration might cause suspension damage.

Might be due to various factors... but the most common one is at the wheels... ur rims or tyres.
Some cases might be your air con .
Send your car to a mechanic.

ur wheels probably not balanced. did u strike kerb or hit pothole recently? going to a decent tire shop would fix the prob.

and why the heck are you speeding? -

Bro, may I know are you still driving the AE86 Levin or the Sprinter model...
Trust that you have to go for a tyre check, aligement and a high speed balancing for you car already. Do you know where to go for it....
My regular tyre specialist is Kenny... He is very good and had done all my race cars for Car park races. Try him out ....

I used to have this problem with my car too. The wheel would start shaking at 100km/hr, continue all the way until around 110+ km/hr and only stop doing it when I hit 120km/hr. I think it's because the spoiler at that speed begins to pressure the car down and makes it stable just by way of aerodynamic stuff or whatever you call it, but that might be a wild theory.
So, getting pissed with the shaking, I got it sent for balancing and alignment only, no other stuff done. During that time the Nissan foreman said they only do low speed balancing up to 80 or 90km/hr. And he said he'd try to do a low balance first to see if it fixed the problem cos I usually do 110km/hr on Malaysian highways and that's the speed at which the vibration is worst.
In the end, the low speed balancing fixed it, but before we got it done the service rep told me if low speed balancing wouldn't fix it then high speed balancing at Stamford tires would, and whilst they were doing the low speed balancing I walked over to Stamford tires and sure enough one of their mechanics said the exact same thing to me, "You try the low speed one at Nissan first, if it doesn't work, you come over we do a high speed one for you"
Hope this information helps, I know how annoying a shaking steering wheel can be, having endured it myself. -
