Juz wondering.....Which is better?

I will prefer lancer Sports for the exterior is nicer and interior sounds more refined compare to TS. TS interior backdated to those of late 90s.
In terms of stability TS fare much better compare to lancer. Being that it is an AWD. -
Saw a couple of nicely modified (exterior i mean) 1.6TS out there... personally I prefer the exterior of 1.6TS but I was just wondering how is it's performance like compared to other 1.6L cars.... -

i would say that it should be slightly higher than average after factoring in the additional transmission losses. but i've not heard any outrageously unacceptable fc readings. most 1.6 are getting 14 kms/l so u are probably looking at the ballpark of 12 -13 kms/l for the TS. any TS owners here wanna chip in their own figures?Originally posted by silv3rgal:I see....so the fuel consumption's a lil' higher than normal 1.6L cars too? -

I kinda feel the Impreza is slightly better compared to the Lancer Sports... but since I haven't really driven either, I can't really say... just from what my frens who have driven them say... -
In terms of mod-dability, the TS is more advantageous, if you are thinking of converting to a Rex or STI- lookalike (exterior-wise) -- The TS is already wide-body kitted with fenders, headlights, etc. parts like rims are also interchangeable throughout the ts, rex & sti . Ths very much differes from that of the Lancer with its bigger bro - the Evo.

Yup agree... there's no way a lancer sport can look like an Evo....esp the latest version... i was thinking of getting a TS in maybe 2 years and mod it's exterior.. not really converting to a REX or STi.. but just a get a nice sporty bodykit... but other than exterior wise.. i also wanna make sure that ,maintenance & performance wise it doesn't lose out to other 1.6L cars...thanks for all da info guys... and it would be great if there are lancer or TS drivers who can enlighten me with some pros and cons? TS Is Running On A BHP Of 96. If Your Adding Some Bodykit & Changing Rims (Which Is Common), Do Something To Increase Its Horsepower. I'm Not Saying To Turbocharge Or Super Charge It. Cos Its ILLEGAL *Blink Blink*
But Perhaps Change The Manifold For A Better Flowing Unit. Else Its Gonna Be A Car That Can SEE OnlySee. And A Heavier Weight Of Larger Rims & Bodykit Plus 4WD Means Its Not Gonna Be That Fuel Economic. Stock TS Is Running Approx 8.5-9.5 KM/L. (Tried & Tested During Run-In)
Considered One Of The Not So Fuel Saving Machines. However, It Also Depends On How U Rev The Ride. (Lightfoot Driving/ Flooring e Throttle)
However, I'd Still Choose The TS Over e Lancer. Simple Mods Can Make It Look Even More Beautiful. With A Bodykit, Carbon Fibre/ Fibre Glass Bonnet, Front Scoop, 17" Rims + GT/ Hi Mount Spoiler,

Most 1.6 are only getting 14km/L on paper. Actual figures are lower then that. I'm just listing out the do-ables factually with the cars. The issue is not on the preference of act itself.
As mentioned, it is all about preferences and subjectivity.

Not everyone mods to be a wannabe... not a total copy cat, you can mod it ur own style... it just feels good driving a car with a nice bodykit... & it's not for racing purpose... I know its very easy to differentiate a real wrx/STi from a converted one... I have seen TS on the roads with STi car decals everywhere..that's of course a laughing stock... -

I'd rather pay more for a better performing car in the WRX, I find the TS a bit underpowered... -

TS is a 1.6L Subaru Impreza with only 95bhp, top speed @ 174km/h
Rex (WRX) is a 2.0L Impreza , 225bhp, top speed @ 232kmh... and lots more of differences....acceleration,torque, etc etc.. maybe u can go check it out urself
I was just asking for suggestions from fellow forum-ers w/ knowledge about pros, cons and performance of these 2 cars.... not asking u to tell me what i want in my car.. lol.. so please......u don't need to say anymore -
