Wats his problem??!

  Hey guys...just like to share smthg dat happened to me today.
  Well...today i was having my driving lessons at ubi outside...anyway i was driving pretty slowly...about 30+ to 40 km/h...then there was this citroen C5 behind me....anyway when i looked at the rear view mirror...he flashed his lights at me. I was like 'wtf!!...'
  
  Can't he see that am a L plate?!...
  
  Anyway...would like to ask...in wat situations do u flash ur lights?..Maybe to show ur displeasure at another driver ??...thats the feeling i get la..

  ask your instructor why lor. then he will ask u to let the car behind u overtake u, and ask u to speed up behind him and he will help u honk that fella and flash ur high beam back and him.

  maybe wat u can do is to slow down n let him overtake u .. once overtake you liao u flash back at him lor ... muz haf sportmanship dude

  Well, when i was learner, i gotten into such a situation too. There's this TIONG honda following really close with a female passenger and he tailed gated me so closely that i gotten really nervous. My instructor was really good ah... told me leg off the acclerator paddle and he tab the break abit and jam break till the engine stall !!! The fella at the back has no choice but to jam break too. When i was over taken, my instructor pointed the finger at him and took down his license plate

  Some of these so called "qualified" drivers simply forget that they too were learners too...

  Sometimes, flashing the high beam or horning is not necessary mean an unfriendly gesture.
  I will horn at fellow drivers when they forget to on their highlights.
  As there is no other way of getting the person' attention other then sounding the horn.

  Bravo!!! Mine tell me to do similar things too. But that time I was a little blur, didn't know things about tailgating. My instructor just suddenly tell me to tab my brake, I was like ???

  I think high beam is better than horn. During the first 2 week of my car ownership, I saw 1 taxi high beam me when he is waiting to turn right. I was lost then, only later I realise from my brother than I was only putting on parking light all the time. And once someone tap his brake in front of me in an expressway, my light was on high beam. Finally found out about the blue light symbol means.

  Can't realli blame drivers for being high-beaming "L" plates. If you live in areas where there are Driving centres nearby, then you may understand why drivers are sometimes fustrated by them.
  
  If there's a whole line of "L"s trying to U-turn or right turn, then happy waiting... 1 freaking right turn can take you 10mins.

  I used high beam only when I couldn't really see what was in front of me... or to warn cars that are turning that I'm going straight... esp at junctions with those boxes.... Very scary to see the car keep moving eventhough he know's you're going straight...

  Hehe... what about L plates who bully other L plates? hee... I used to get pissed at other L plates who were driving so slowly, and I had to follow behind, although I was also an L plate... ended up overtaking them every chance I got... hee... Imagine the L plate seeing another L plater zooming past in front of him... hee...

  You have every right to over take those slow moving ones as they mostly are those who just started the first few on road training..

  there is this once when i was still a L-plate driver..i was going str8 n this driver coming out of left filter lane saw my car coming, pressed his horn at me...somemore his horn tiong air horn...try his luck to force his way out. i ask my instructor how he say Fuck him, juz go on...so i pick up speed...tt guy lan lan..den he still pressing to his horn, followed behind me. from the mirror, can see him mouthing vulgarities n keep flashing high-beam...my instructor tulan, unwind his window, point him mid-finger n he slammed his brake. tt guy kiss backside. den try to whack my instructor...i tel him, u whack, we have witness here..u tailgate, n still trying to be a road bully..den he lan lan, but still demand compensation...instructor clever, shoot him, 'ok loh, nvm ken, we go off...move to IDAC @ kaki bukit..nearby only'...den the guy try to stop us but no avail...

  no la..i was going at 60..den my instructor buay gey yan tt guy ma..L-plate driver oso wan to bully, n we have the right of way in tt situation..so my instructor slammed his brake..den tt bugger bang our backside..

  muahahaha...can say so la...instructor say muz teach those kind of drivers who bully L-plate a lesson...they tink they pass liao can rule the world...haha...so let him suffer thru the expensive way loh
