Hi Todie,
you right abt the N/S expressway from JB to Yong Peng to Segamat Kuantan to cherating beach.....one family frm singapore did that and they checked in later than me abt 6pm !! there are abt 7 tolls to yong peng , he passed Chaah, Labis, Segamat, up to marker 12 to Gambang, Kuantan to cherating.......i think there r more small villagers on that way....both r right, guess mine was more winding but seeing the beaches frm afar was still nice......
Heard on the radio /tv abt the haze is closed 400+ on the index and even reached 500 in Klang Valley ..Flights at the Subang airport near Kuala Lumpur, were suspended after visibility plunged to less than 1,300 feet. but where i was in cherating, no signs of haze yet, maybe the winds have not blown it over.....
my only reget not getting this...................

i saw that carrefour was selling mobil 10w30 at 10dollars/ quart.. over the national day weekend but i bought liaoz!! arrghh..
dunno still got or no.. -

Also do you have the same problem as I asked? Do you drive with 2 i-keys in your pocket? Are they identically programmed? Has your car stopped for any unknown reason before? Can you experiment with your car for the members benefit? Ie Drive with 1 i-key in your pocket and the other in the back seat, stop and leave the engine running, pass the i-key to another person and continue driving with the other i-key for another 15 minutes? Can you answer all the questions above?

Vandagal, Perhaps next time when you go to Kuantan, you might want to take the route I suggested, since you are now familiar with Kuantan. Ie take the N/S expressway from JB to Yong Peng (Can have a break there), then on to Segamat (for some durians perhaps) and take the road to Kuantan. The road after you leave the N/S expressway to Yong Peng is not good (same as it was in the days before the N/S expressway, ie about 30+ years ago), but the road after Segamat to Kuantan, even though it is not an expressway (single lane only) has less traffic. On the return journey you can take your same route back from Kuantan-Nenasi-Rompin-Mersing-Kota Tinggi-JB as you may want to break your journey since you will probably be travelling in the afternoon. You can take a day trip from Mersing to one of the islands, eg P Rawa, not too far.
Somebody just came back from KL and suggested that all KL trips be postponed if possible. Haze is 400+ on the index and even reached 500 in Klang Valley (ie hazardous) Some schools are allowed to close, viz is 200m and even the air-conditioned office buildings have haze in the offices. This is an eye-witness report from a person who is also a medical doctor. For more info, tune in to CNA. Imagine our March air filters and ionisers will be working overtime!!

guys, Royal Purple's Singapore agent Regalia is very nice to provide a technical forum exclusive only to the Marchies come these few weeks. There will be technical discussion about engine oil, understanding the fundamentals, purposes, usage, and identifying the various types of oil in the market. The experts will also open to the floor any other questions that we may have, not just on oils but others, so this will be in the form of a forum. we can take this opportunity to ask those questions we did not finish with Tan Chong earlier on.
They are kind to offer their workshop as venue with free parking lots. most likely we will get preferential rates if we get the stuff from them too (will discuss and let you know the details later).
For now we have a few dates available, pls indicate your avaialbility, as usual we will choose the date that can have most attendees.

Hi, Rgds to the i-key, my wife and I each have one. Before we collect our car we already asked for a dup. i- key. When we collected our car (8months back) it was alreday programmed.So far is good, two keys in the car.
We were told S$300 for the cost of the key and we managed to get it at a discount as it was part of the negotiation perks when we purchased the car. -
