Honda Civic VTi & VTi-S

  Hello guys,
  
  Just wanna find out the feedback from the owners or anyone who has driven the civic VTi or VTi-S before.. Would appreciate if you could state the pros and cons of the car and also the average fuel consumption.. thanks in advance eh..

  I used to drive the Civic Vti 2002. Can hit like at least 14km/l or more...
  with full tank at abt 40litre, can drive up to 550km.
  
  drove the car for 2.5yrs and sold this year

  Just sold my 2001 Civic 1.5A Vti this yr as well.................
  
  Errmmm..... guess if you want, get a Vti-S manual.
  
  My FC is really bad i must say, can only get 12km+/l only, with more than half the time on highway........

  I see.. thanks for ur feedback guys.. I was actually thinking of the VTi-S(A).. i wonder whether there's a huge diff between the VTi(A) and VTi-S(A) in terms of power and FC..

  I was driving the 1.5 manual thus can hit a better FC.
  
  If few $K is not a problem i suggest the Vti-S, cfm better with that extra 10hp. But manual shiok leh....

  Just got my Civic VTi last thursday...
  first 2 tank got 14km/l...
  Just went for 1k Servicing...
  Now using Sythetic engine oil...
  Hope will improve further..

  Civic Vti-S seems pretty rare compared to the VTi.. guess that means the VTi-S is not worth the extra money as far as power and FC is concerned.

  Vti-S is definitely more worth it, 2-3k more than the Vti, but with 20 more bhp....... much more decent pick up etc.......
  
  The reason i believe most pple get Vti is due to the fact that the cost of the Vti-S insurance is almost double that of the Vti. I remember getting quoted 1.7k for Vti and 2.5k for Vti-S, something like that............ and that was only earlier this yr.
  
  Btw, the civic is know for air con compressor problems. During my almost 4 yrs, i spoilt the air con compressor twice......... with no particular reason. The compressor is Sanden. Not too sure if the new model still using this.

  not only insurance is more ex...
  the road tax is also more ex...
  btw,the Vti-S cums wif moon-roof...cool....

  I got my car on 5/5/05...
  8 days to my 1k servicing...
  wat's wrong with 125km per day?

  Its actually pretty normal.
  
  I got my new ride on a Saturday, and 9 days later went for my 1k servicing cos the 8th day is a Sunday.
  
  That's what cars are for. They are not cheap, and we have to fully utilised them.
