Manual want to change Auto

As the above topic, i drove manual all along. But intend to switch to Auto. Is it hard to control a Auto

It'll take a bit of getting used to. Don't panic when you can't find the clutch.

Switching from manual to auto will be easier than from switching from auto to manual. You'll get used to it very quickly. For safety, always remember your left leg is not longer needed to prevent stepping on the brake pedal accidently thinking it is a clutch.

That means keep using right leg also can, to control just the acleerator and the brake pedal. Left leg just relax.

when i changed from manual to auto, i always forgot my left leg is useless so i always 'clutch' in when it is time to change gear n step on the brakes instead...luckily behind no car...
give urself 2 to 3 days if i drive often or one week if u drive occasionally to get used...alternatively, can rent a auto car to test test 1st...
take note tt there are some auto car their parking brakes is the foot brake type...dun get confused w the clutch.. -
oh ya... and 1 more point....
try not to break your auto gear stick. -
should not be difficult to change... but some cars have hand brake at the left foot area...
so might make an e-brake when u 'clutch' in.. -

Should be quite okie considering you've only passed for abt a year or so, hence the "manual" driving style wun be so "imprinted"...

juz imprint in ur head when at traffice light put the auto gear to N or pull up ur handbrake as if the vehicle is in D it will move foward even at rest

Hm, actually as long as you step your brake fully, the vehicle will not move. Putting the gear to N is unless you want it to be super safe, if not, stepping the brake is enough. However, if you're on a slope, then handbrake is neccessary. -

auto will have higher fc. juz check out the catalog. to rev an auto, juz step on the accelerator and the car automatically down shift in anticipation. auto is good in traffic jam situation(if u frequent jb). u may 1 2 try tiptronic car tat gives u auto and semi-auto mode.Originally posted by hmsg:many have given advice about the practicals of switching... but have your considered others...
