Well, granted that the IS may not be a lot faster coz they both run with the same M15A engine. But one of the pros of the IS is its handling, it loves corners. Try this : Tell your passenger to hang on, then throw an IS around a bend and feel how it hugs

Unfortunately, handling and comfort-driving is a balance, hence the IS prob loses out on comfort compared to the Swift. I'm not saying the Swift's handling isn't as good coz I've not driven the swift, I'm sure its a good car but I think the IS isn't designed to compete with the swift in the comfort dept.
