  I see so many advt like below..
  
  Mercedes Benz E200 A (COE till 12/2007)
  Engine Cap: 1997 cc
  Price: $18,800
  Transmission: Auto Registration
  Date: 10-Nov-1988
  
  Can someone help to explain..
  
  1) Is such car worth to buy ?
  2) Do I get any money for scraping it either at end of COE or before COE expires ?
  
  Any more pros & cons of buying used car. Your advice will be appreciated.

  It will depends on urself... the road tax will be 150% of the normal 2 litre.
  Spare parts are quite expensive for european cars. If you take the amount $18,800 divided by the number of expected usage years the amount to pay is not really going to be cheap.... moreover, you will still have to pay insuance and road tax.. this will add up to be quite a sum.
  
  You can get back the remaining of the COE amount on top of that the amount for scraping the metal.

  I do not think there will be much difference. The factor that is being considered is the car make and the age of the registered owner.
  For more professional advise u should call NTUC income or any other car insurance provider for advise
