em can anyone out there tell mi if SSDC is good for learning car? may i know how many pract lessons u hav to take b4 taking tp? thanks!

I feel that there is no difference in the standards of driving centres. More importantly, choose the centre that is closest to your home/school/workplace.
Average of 20 to 25 lessons. It varies between manual and auto, and also how fast or slow you learn.
I completed mine(auto) in 19 lessons (excluding revision lessons). -

oh ok thanks.. den how about private compare to sch? i heard that private instructor they always anyhow teach u.. i hav frends hu go to private aft that go back to sch n start again..is this true private is not that good?

Depends on the instructor... If your friends learn from private and cannot learn, then either the instructor is no good, or they are no good...

I feel it's really a preference. As in, if you prefer to learn it systematically then school would be good. The one big advantage about school is that, you can book your practical test date early and the chances of you passing your theory is much higher, also, retest waiting period is shorter.
Hm, well, yeah many people say Ubi test routes are hard. Me - BBDC, test routes are alright. Nothing too hard. Traffic is not as bad as Ubi I guess.
Hm, as for the standards of instructors, oh well, the chances of school to pass TP test seem higher than private learners.
Hm, overall, i think if you're not concerned too much with costs, as in you're not tight on budget or what, go for school. People go for private cos it's cheaper, they place cost as like the top 1 factor.
So yeah, it's all a preference, an experience. To each of its own. -
I passed from UBI 2 months back. People say it is harder, but I feel a good driver is a good driver, no matter the traffic. When I joined ubi center, after a few lessons I was put straightway onto the heavy traffic roads. Initially I was disappointed, but later on it proved good for me. After about 10 lessons at the road, you become so confident of driving in heavy traffic. No wonder, that after my passing, I frequently drive into the heavily congested city areas, without any problem.

oh ok thank you everyone.. eh can i jus ask one more qn. can a class 3 licence drive pick up or van ah? lets say like nissan cabstar or like mitsubishi L300??
