Ignis sports VS GETZ 1.6M

  hi there, i'm considering between getting these 2 cars. One's the Getz n the second's the Suzuki Ignis Sports.
  
  i was quoted 48k for the 1.6 (2 doors) manual getz with rear spoiler, 15" sports rims, leather sears n reverse sensor.
  
  as for the ignis sport, was quoted 60K.
  
  as for price wise. the getz is definitely a better buy. power wise is considerable soft, reasonablely fast n smooth (0-100km=9.6sec). bigger booth space n rear accomodation(3pax at rear)...
  
  as for the ignis sport. its has slightly more bhp as cpmpared to the getz, fast, responsive engine n race tune but its abt 12k more. small booth space n smaller rear accomodation(2pax..)
  
  i really love the ignis sports as it's cheap for the given price n performace ratio. However, if you were in my shoe with a family of 2 toddlers, which one would you choose from? im in a dilemma.
  
  Im already on the verge to buy ignis sports but cant convince myself its reality of limited space. Oh god, what should i do?

  Was in the similar dilemma...
  Was choosing between Ignis Sports N Civic...
  I choose the civic coz i need the space...
  But seriously speaking, between getz and Ignis...
  I see plenty of Suzuki Swift on the road after 10 years, BUT so far i see less than a handful of Hyundai/Kia on the road after 5 years...
  So reliability, durability issue have to consider also lor... coz with the 10 year loan and lower parf, break even point is gonna be drag longer, so make sure you buy a car that will give u less problem and at least able to last until your breakeven point.

  Correct analysis.... unless u intend to change car like every 3 or 5yrs.

  Simple, buy a Nissan March. It has both and more of the qualities you are looking for.

  have u tried e YRV turbo? same engine as Ignis Sport but different CC. dont get e korean car. not worth. e dashboard of e GETZ sucks. too plasticky.. as u haf heard before "pay peanuts GETZ monkey". if ur choices are limited to this 2 then get e ignis sports.

  I'm driving the IS now. Was fighting against myself to keep the civic or get a new IS.
  
  End up i get an IS cos of the power and reasonable price. Its a fun car, except that the build quality is nowhere close to the civic. haha......
  
  My advise, if you got 2 small kids, dun get a hatchback. Its always a case of being safe. Touch wood, but if someone bang you from behind, at least if you are driving a sedan, there's a boot to protect yr family.
  
  I got no kids yet thus i choose to 'play' with the IS for the moment. Prepared to drive for at least 5 yrs, then might change. And i personally do believe that the 'mod-bility' of the IS is much more than the Getz/
  
  I have not test drove the Getz 1.6 2dr, cos i did not even consider it in the 1st place (no offence to Getz owners out there) as I'm in sales. And a Jap car will definitely be a safer bet between the two.
  
  And yes, if a 1l swift can last ten yrs, why not a IS? Just my personal views.

  hmm...if u were to ask me, it's gonna be an IS anytime. but considering the fact that you haf a family and 2 kids, it would be better if u look at cars wif more space. perhaps suzuki liana hatch back? it has space & decent power.

  Between the 2, it would be ignis sport. Cause both are 3 door hatch, I would guess it would be harder a choice if you are considering a 4/5 door door with a 3 door car. Much inconvenience to get a 3dr car when you have a family.
  
  However, I do agreed on the alternative choice of YRV turbo. At least it is a 5dr hatch. Auto car would be a little minus point, but maybe your wife would be happy with it.
  
  Conclusion: IS anytime. You are paying more for a reason. Only choose the cheaper car if you don't know what you are paying for, or it isn't worth paying for.
