Damn beat the red light!!!!

Kaoz for the very first time in my driving ... i beat a red light just like tat today while sending my frd home.
I was on this road along serangoon central at the bus interchange area... i approached the traffic light and it turned amber so i accelerated and went thru it cos i was very near the stop line... who knows the next traffic light crossing is only one car length away and when i realise it was red for tat... my car was quite fast and i never managed to jam my breaks in time.. resulting my car whizzing thru the second traffic light which is red ... kaoz.. there is this little boi and old man abt to step onto the road abt to cross loh heng i was zip thru fast .
Haiz luckily there wasnt a camera. However i felt super uneasy aft that. I was wondering what happened if there is someone rite in front of me on the road liao... siao liao lah... die loh...
Prayed so hard man... felt so bad.
However i just feel the 2 traffic light is too close to one another.
Anyone have any experience of such kinda of stuff?
SIan i feel so bad now for beating the light. -

ya point noted .. but i will also take note of such roads loh with traffic lights so near one another.
Hrmm i think if there is someone rite in fron of me just now i will slam the brakes... reflexes will do so lah.

Either you cross the line completely or you stop before the line. You don't stop on the line.

next time try to drive carefully and slowly...
from what you describe.... you seems like driving at a high speed... so... slow down on your speed on these small roads. -
That stretch of road is dangerous as there is a slight slope downwards and slight bend towards the interchange. As such driver tend to take this corner at high speed for trills. The traffice light no doubt is space near between each other but if u drive within the speed limit you won't need to beat the light.
Drive within speed limit. Please drive with care. -

Tomas_Rosicko, i never post such an experience for u to make such a judgemental statement. Everyone do make little mistakes during driving... dont sound as if u are so perfect and u have the biggest rite to conclude who is fit to drive and who is not fit to drive. U are the one who can also go home and sleep cos such statements made by u is able to show that u are not tactful with ur words.
This post is mainly for pple who have similar experiences to share
And i was not speeding. When it turns amber and i am on the stop line of course i accelerate and go thru it what. If not slow down?
Its not at the sloping and turning portion.. the road is str8 and flat.
My friends onboard wasnt aware the traffic light till it was so near too ... thats why he never warned me abt it.
Anyway pedestrians are abt to step on the road from the left... i was on the right lane so it was pretty far lah... hope my first post never sound like the pedestrians are so close to me. -
Actually I do have such experience before.... the traffic light posts were located far too close to one another. Resulting in myself having to jam brake for the first traffic light since I was focusing on the second one. Drivers do make mistakes sometimes.

anyway if u cant stop in time and there's ppl waiting to cross...flash ur high beam then they know tat u coming -

there run 60-70 can liao.. enough time to brake in time for the traffict light if not amber liao floor the acclerator till 80-90 to cheong pass then slow down to 60-70 loh

too many traffic lights spoil the roads.
ya esp for auto cars the torque gain abit retarded so u'll just keep on flooring the gas. then when the power's here it comes in a long stretch altogether, yi fan bu ke shou shi... -
why come here tell the whole world u beat red light? if somebody got killed, better ur liscence gone at least 1 less reckless driver off the road. use ur brain next time... wait u dont have one

I just stayed at the block opposite the bus interchange. In the past when Serangoon bus interchange just opened, the pedestrain crossing was together with the bus interchange exit (where the buses make sharp left turn from interchange slope towards Boundary Road), however it resulted in fatal accident where a student got killed by a left turn bus due to blind spot at the sharp turn, and several time near accident. So they shifted the traffic light further down due to many many complains (to the location which you beat the red light). The 2 traffic light usually turn red together, so even if you managed to beat one, you will most likely endanger yourself as well as others in the 2nd one.
