They have of cos given my fren lots of problem such as timing belt replacement, shocker absorber, radiator, alternator, leaking window seal , worn clutch just to name a few....infact my fren called it a timebomb
However in my opinion...if you can bargain down the cars to paper value its may be a good buy... you have to be prepared ..... if the engine really conk out big time and need a major repair.. you should just send it to scrap yard and recover the paper value then repairing them...
The depreciation should be less than 3 K per year anything higher... you are better off driving a brand new hyundai or kia

I would certainly consider your recommendation though I have always had my reservations about Hyundai or Kia cars because of their proven high fuel consumption rate.
