i am planning to take a car license in a few mths time at BBDC..private or skewl is betta?

in practical,heard that private is easier to pass.anyway,wat is the age requirement to take the theory now?

if imnot wrong it is still 18

Probably take skool is better.....Theory wise, u can get access to their theory Qns (Very similar to the exam qn)......Practical wise, the instructors in skool know the standards of the testers. Hi notorious8706. I just pass my test in May. IMHO, taking in school allow me to interact with different trainers that help me in my final test. Each trainer had his own style, focus and +ve & -ve. In addition, I understand that attending via school gives you more priority in booking at the circuit as well as test dates.

for most ppl...the cost in school is usually $1.5k if u pass on first attempt...

School training is better more prority.. test re-take date is faster than private one.. Pass the practical test on first attempt the cost is 1.5 to 2 k depends on individual.

hmm .. ya i got it at the first attempt so not veri sure abt 2/3 attempts.. private saves money.
school is more structured.
Up to you to decide. -
Private cheaper, School more expensive...
Private less structured, School more organised...
School has more passes compared to Private Instructors....
At the end of the day it boils down to how good you are becuz they can only teach you that much...
Spent total abt $1.5k at SSDC from Basic theory to Practical test...pass on 1st try in April this year
...oh btw....took Auto too..hehe -

I spent 1.5k for private, took less then 25 lessons, went straight for first TP time waited is 6mth, results = Failed.
Retaking it 2nd time waited for 2mth, results = Passed. Same tester.

School
Good: Course is structured (example, got stages to clear to progess). Access to circuit all the time.
Bad: Long waiting time to take up course/book/etc.
Private
Good: Timing not fixed, u fixed with ur instructor any time. Can pick u up from ur place. Car is fixed.
Bad: Course is not structured, basically watever the ur instructor say. Access to circuit is limited and timing is fixed at certain times of the day only. *note that, 50% of the test is done in circuit. -

i prefer private. for theory, u can get "10 year series" from popular etc. do that and make sure u memorise them and u are guaranteed a pass.
as for pratical, u save alot. -
Sch is faster but more ex.... Pte is cheaper but slower... If u not rush to get ur lisence go for private lor...
Btw, i took private... got my lisence ard 600++ .... took ard 20 lessons $22/hr...
But the downside... got to wait for 5 mths++ for my TP... -
