I'm going for my 1st 1,000km servicing soon. Any thoughts or comments whether i should change the engine oil to synthetic? I'm driving a lancer glx cvt.

Generally it is not recommended to switch so early. Unless you have gotten advice specially for your car make, it would be norm to change after 5,000km/2nd servicing. (Perviously wrong input!!)
if u decide to go synthetic, aft tat better stick to tat.

Go for synthetic right from the start. What I heard is that at the assembly stage, they have already test run the engine and change it with mineral oil to last till 1000km. So at your 1000km svc, switch to synthetic oil and remain with it...it is much better and gives new car the needed protection...if your car cost tens of thosuand, what;s $40/- more for synthetic oil?
