Hi all..I'm new to this forum but found this thread interesting. Ive just watched the movie on thursday and yes it is possible to transplant a bigger and more powerful engine into it.Originally posted by HENG@:ya huh. n that is wrong because...?
really ah? oops...Originally posted by tailslide:err, u think not possible meh?it all depends on wat u do with the engine.
bro,Originally posted by xhedrickx:Hi all..I'm new to this forum but found this thread interesting. Ive just watched the movie on thursday and yes it is possible to transplant a bigger and more powerful engine into it.
I believe the engine that was transplanted after the untuned 4AGE died was one from a MR2 Class C engine. MR2's are either fitted with this or a 4AGZE (Supercharged). It bolts straight one to it..cause both are rwd engines.
The other engine I would speculate is a 2.0L engine from a recent model levin with is an FF......not sure if that fits straight in but it might work. The modifications that have been done on AE86 are transplants of SR20DET (see one drifting at QLD raceway), 12B rotary(Look up Hot4S magazine), 4AGZE, 4AGE with individual throttle body....so I don't see why can't a Class C MR2 or 2.0 Levin be in there.
