By at least 3k!!! Kind of get you wondering, what are you paying the additional 3k for.Originally posted by tailslide:picanto cheaper den kelisa now?
really ah? guess kia needed to seriously boost the sales of their k car section lor.Originally posted by wbucket:By at least 3k!!! Kind of get you wondering, what are you paying the additional 3k for.
It is boosted high already. I think the "wait for 3month" thing is still on going for Picanto, unless you are talking about unpopular car colours like green and orange. Latest figures, Kia placed 6th at 2263 sale for 2005, directly under Mitsubishi's 2713.Originally posted by tailslide:really ah? guess kia needed to seriously boost the sales of their k car section lor.![]()

sorry for being kuku
Ya, i agree that Getz 1.6M and Aveo5 can be serious contender as VFM hatchback. As the WRX's price had descended to such a level, I think it deserve a VFM title, so maybe SIS is more VFM fun / lower category performance car (due to its 1.5 engine), while WRX is a performance car (those with 2000cc and above). One thing for sure, SIS and WRX is in different league altogetherOriginally posted by wbucket:I would put either Getz1.6(M) or Aveo5 as VFM hatchback. I always view SIS as a performance car.
VFM Budget should go to Picanto. It has a better overall package. Kelisa is all about that engine.
I always have in thinking that performance isn't always circle around horse power. Handling and such should be taken into consideration. Of course I would dispute the fact that WRX is a much better car than SIS. However I would say they are in a league of their own. That is why there are small CC rally races.Originally posted by free4ever:......My thinking is that anything less than 2000cc (with the exception of lotus elise and some Hondas) is not a full performance car. I mean even if you turbocharged the engine (like the YRV turbo, the VW/Audi 1.8T), you probably can bring up to say 130 to 150bhp, whereas 2000cc and above can easily hit over 200bhp.
Bro, you driving Kelisa right, why do you say it's all about that engine?
I do agree with you the performance is not all about power...but if you take all that handling and such into consideration, then there will probably be many league....To keep things simple if you know what I mean.Originally posted by wbucket:I always have in thinking that performance isn't always circle around horse power. As for the second question, Kelisa is using a Daihaitsu DOHC engine. And this is the only "WOW" about this car. Brand and the DOHC thing does give it a edge over Picanto's engine. But other parts of Kelisa isn't even decent. But the good thing is, since you didn't pay much for the other things, can mod without much consideration. Suspension lousy, change lah! Tyre lousy, change lah! Ya, people will debate why not get a better car then. Well, it is about the process of modification. Also very easy to customize the whole car to be unique.
