Full package you need to change the circuit to ur bulbs so as to provide a higher voltage to ur lights. Think cheapest is ard $200++..saw at autobac.
Why install HID? It might burn your battery circuit if not installed properly or not compatible. Jus get the philips bulb and put into ur car la..5 mins settled..$75 -

tryin to use a HID bulb without a supporting HID ballast system is like trying to light a candle using electricity. -
Ya.. For certain cars, may have to change the wires too. i agree dat HID does blind other drivers quite abit. But LTA still approve stock HID to be imported here. But the questionable fact is..why are those aftermarket HID still illegal? If it's bcoz of safety den it dun make sense rite? If it's bcoz LTA wants a level of control over cars with HID..not wanting them to be 'over-bright' etc..k den its still acceptable
Like I've always say..If you wanna 'zeng' and modify, den dun be afraid to get caught. If you wan only legal mods..den maybe flying kite is a better idea..saves $$ too.. -

i mean, think about it. LTA is juz a governing body that has so many responsibilities. on top of making expressways, making sure tunnels dun collapse etc, i'd be nuts to undertake the task of ensuring each vehicle meets roadgoing standards up to the point of checking their HIDs. simple solution, juz make sure that the manufacturer certify that these equipments are suitable and safe to use on that particular car.
unfortunately, for aftermarket HID manufacturers, they have no technical back up from the manufacturer in the event something goes awry, and LTA would no way wanna take a chance at approving something like that. simple solution, anything not from or certified by manufacturer considered illegal. that way, we have a clear guide on the dos and duns of aftermarket mods like HIDs. -

I guess dat's wat they are doing to Philips on their bulbs. it is said that philip bulbs are legal..true or not i cant confirm.. it's jus a hearsay..
Slowly LTA might approve the products of more HID manufacturers.. Then ppl with white lights wun be so weary of ROV anymore -
yesterday i went to AMK there to change my bulbs... without any questions they fit on some 'H4' bulbs(with blue tint) for me...
the process is very fast and easy.... but the question is how good are these 'H4' bulbs? compared to HID? it cost me $30... including 2 small white bulbs in place of the small orange bulbs..
i tested my new lamps on the highway.. but not much improvement on illumination expect for the color...
btw.. the shop went on to sell me their array of accessories... like visor, audio package etc... -
H4 refers to the type of bulbs ur car is using. There are also H3, H7 etc. Its like S,M,L for ur clothes..As long as you do not modify ur battery circuit to fit those HIDs. HIDs in comparison produces a much brighter lighting source. there is now an electronic ballast to produce more consistent frequency 4 the lights discharged from the Xenon bulbs resulting in better penetrative abilities. pricing also a big diff. dun be fooled 4 a moment that simple swap of light bulbs alone can get u the same effect.
