I dont know anything about cars.can someone explain to me what does OMV and such terms stand for?.and hwhy fot 2 price..one for COE and one actual price?...so what is the overall price? -

OMV states the current market valus of the car and it's worth (w/o COE). Thus, they place the COE price that the owner paid for as well. The actual price indicates the price that the owner is selling (normally negotiable).
Main thing to look out for is the expiry of COE and the condition of the car (any accident previously etc...). Go for a test drive of the car at low & high speed to feel if the engine is ok.

Oh ya, btw, this is a modified car. You better check thoroughly and with the owner if the car modification is approved by the authority.

exercise caution when u buy his type of car..especially when it "feels" modified....mileage can be low...doesnt mean the car is good condition.may have accident before...If u are not sure, ask someone who is expereinced like a car dealer to inspect b4 buying...

Dun even consider buying this car... not worth it...
- no scrap value as > 10 years old
- no parts warranty as > 10 years old
- interior components probably needs to be replaced ...
- low mileage indicative of accidents or spoilt engine that need overhaul
- modified... sure a lot of problem....
- often get stop by TP.... check exhaust sound level... sure exceed....
- COE of $18,444... pro-rated means for the remaining 6 yrs is ~$10.8K... but asking price min $30K.... definitely not worth....
- road tax much higher for > 10 yr old car...
- insurance higher because race-type / not sedan car
- not 3rd party insurance because > 10 yrs old
DO NOT buy... throwing $ away...... -

Which is something like the scrap value. But scrap usually lower, ard 70% of OMV.
But dun bother as car more than 10 yrs no scrap value le.
Total price is the 30k-35k tat 1.
COE price is shown as it affects the price of car oso.
Cars more than 10yrs COE price is like wat is left 4 the car -
Car looks highly modified...not recommended.

Gal..dun be conned!!!I just sold my EG last Oct at 35k..haha..already at high price liao..now eg around 20k + /- can get liao la...fyi this car already more than 10yrs and will have alot problems such as radiator leakage..etc etc..which u must be prepared to spend alot $ to replace many wear and tear problems and mentally prepared it break down anytime..and you need frequent workshop ..haha..da was my life last time with my eg
COE cars very cheap now but u need consider many factors..no parf value..rd tax increasing each yr up to 50% (for COE cars)..higher interests rate..and frequent breakdown...only strengths is civics is an inexpensive car with alot more to modify...but pls be prepared also being "kissed" by other tiong chias especially u r a gal driving a civic..heh.. -
