  swift if style is ur choice,vios if practicality,fuel economy,and lower running cost is wat u wan..i also think the swift is also too cramped for most ppl.

  Vios also has a 1.5L engine with 109bhp, and what's more, it's lighter than the swift, 970kg vs 1015kg(I think). So straight line, it's faster.
  
  Price wise I think Vios is cheaper by few grands. Very good car which is extremely value for money. So rationally, votes goes to the Vios,
  
  Until you look at and sat inside the swift, and this probably would make you change your mind along with these factors: swift is not that common, Jap made, spacious cabin, etc

  Why not go down and test drive both vehicles? Afterall, u would like to wake up and smile at what u are driving, don't u?

  you should be able to tell an INSTANT difference the moment either car moves, when you were test driving them.
  
  for me, that difference is enuff to make me choose the swift.
  
  you shoulda tried the ignis sport (i think it's still available). even more shiok! eheh but looks like a mini jeep lar.

  personally, find the swift like a 'cheap man's mini'... pretty cool if swift is in all black or red...
  
  vios is out-dated... even ah-pek is driving vios these days...

  Both Cars have about the same OMV at 13k (diff of 200 for manual and max 1k for auto) so depreciation wise both are comparable.
  
  If a lack of boot is ok with you then Swift is the answer.
  
  If you are the typical Singaporean (Crowd Follower/ Phua-Woon Type) then go get Vios. Else opposite, get the Swift. Its your call.

  but recently their new swift was called back due to some fuel pump problem.
  
  Details wise, I am not sure...But u dont wanna spend 60k on a faulty car rite?

  ride in my fren swift the other day ... at high speed of 120 kph it is as stable and refined as a toyota camry .... the handling is superb as he cornered at around 60 kph... audio control at steering wheel also ... Neat!
  
  the vios is just as good ... but the swift has the edge... driven the vios before dun think its fantastic ... the vios is based on old echo design... so swift is a newer platform... must say the vios looks better ...but its subjective
  
  For my case .. the swift is in everyway better than vios except for the look and slightly higher price and no backside

  I think I will choose the Vios. More for practical reasons as the fuel consumption has always been relatively low for Toyotas. And also for the boot space that's avaliable.
