Why I would be too crazy with them...Originally posted by the Bear:but you're a bus nutter... so you don't count
The problem is... We never expose them through the harsh way... Let those executives see the bus in the news while they are having dinner or spending their relax timesOriginally posted by ShutterBug:Damned public transport.
I RATHER RIDE MY BICYCLE WHEN MY CAR IS AT WORKSHOP!!!
The public transport system isn't all that bad. What really bothers me are the commuters - the rush, the seat snatching, the blind eye to commuting elderlies, you name it!
Taking the public transport, SPOILS MY MOOD!!!!!

during morning peak hours cant board the bus at all ... can try taking bus 27 at Sengkang, have to wait and wait...... when u board have to stand all the way and squeeze inside at the door step , what if there a frontal collision we will all die loh...

OK... No ppl want to take buses, why should they care to add capacity? Anyway, neither is SBS interested in adding buses for really profitable rtsOriginally posted by ShutterBug:Having you people's testimonials about public transport, I can't help wondering just WHY, can't bus services improve after all these donkey years???
On top of it, they have the bloody cheek to increase fares.
I wonder, what's their excuse???

If there is compeition, running cost will go even higher as of diluted passenger ridership.Originally posted by the Bear:do monopolies or cartels care?
Bear, next time you dun go run biz... I will make sure you will not be able to cover overhead...Originally posted by the Bear:oh well.. believe what you might
i'll take the bus only when i have to.. and the taxicabs when i'm going on a night out and will imbibe
Now comes this... Singaporeans are also selfish.. They dun want to move in onboard aircon buses as it is comfortable.. End up, the bus stop at the bus stop for 5 mins... Still no one move in... Though there are only 75 passengers onboard when allowed capacity is 86.Originally posted by ShutterBug:The way I saw some (most) cab drivers drive, I'd rather use my bike, rent a car, take that stinky long waited bus, or leg it and be late.
Friggin daredevils on our roads, that's what taxi drivers are!!
So ok, the bus services have their running costs to biatch about, but as in any businesses, why can't they add value to their service by at least, being on time and efficient?
What I saw mostly were grouchy-faced bus drivers, impatient on the road, late on route, turning up empty at bus stop and crawling along. What's this? First class public transport?
Personally, this whole talk about public transport standards is really part of a bigger picture; our economy. And in my opinion, our economy is a very much like a run-away train - going down hill!
Escalating living costs, jobless rates increasing, radical moves of bringing in the casinos. What's next?
Fortunate for our government Singapore is small, and thus is real easy to police and control its people. If we're the size of Malaysia, I can't say the same. There'd be street demos and protests that will rival those of Indonesia!
