Pls beware of the parking rate at Jurong pt......
PARKING RATE
Weekday 7am to 5pm
* First 2 hours - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
* Next hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
* Every subsequent 1/2 hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
Weekday after 5pm
* First 2 hours - $2.00 + $0.10 (5% GST)
* Next hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
* Every subsequent 1/2 hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
Weekend & Public Holiday
* First 2 hours - $2.00 + $0.10 (5% GST)
* Next hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
* Every subsequent 1/2 hour or part thereof - $1.00 + $0.05 (5% GST)
Carpark Operating Hours :-
Monday to Thursday
7.00am - 12.00 Midnight
Friday to Sundays and Public Holidays
7.00am - 3.00am
Note:Overnight Parking will be wheel clamped
Trying to use the stupid
ELECTRONIC PARKING SYSTEM for the parking systems....i think trying to eat our driver's $$$.
I had already sent an email to Jurong pt, telling them tat , I do not see any reason y a neighbourhood shopping centre has it's parking rate higher then those along the Orchard road, esp during wk end . I'm i right to say that ??????? I parked there for 5 hrs during sunday , and it cost me $7++. Absurd man !!! My colleague also kana , 3 hrs for $5+.
SO PLS BEWARE !!!!!! -
hmm.....i tot i used to park there as $1.00 throughout the day after 5pm??
and if its during office hour...its straight $2.00 cash card deduct....hmmm.....change liao and so high??!!!!

You can always park at the HDB multi-storey carpark opposite.

I parked there before, and i kena 2 x fine.....hahaa.......$30 and $60 on separate occasions. But now i put coupon already for safety .
THe mulit storey car park is a HOT place for "BOOKING". So better beware again !!!! -
If you find the charges too high...den dont park there lor...no point come here kao peh kao bu.
And besides charge more better! Like that, the share value of the company tt manages Jurong Point will go higher! -
Since when they change the system? i tot is pay 1 fixed price only, example go in 1 time pay for the whole time for parking there, only difference is the time u go in is b4 5pm or after 5pm...... i always tot tis fixed parking rate is the reason y the carpark is always very full during sch holidays, lunch time, dinner time and weekends becos a lot of carparks are charging by the no. of hours u park at tat carpark....

Paid 5 bucks the other. Thought its like $2 per entry after 5pm.
blame themselves for using the stupid design that TP design years back.
And there are so many other good design but they don't want to use. -
Not happy don't park there la, complain for what, their carpark, their rules.

It's quite obvious that you have never stepped into Jurong. Jurong Point just beside Boon Lay MRT. I think is the traffic jam problem that occurs just outside. Where the cars just wait in line outside to get in, sometimes jam to the junction. Then cars/bus doing a right turn cannot turn in.
But abit ex to do it during weekdays and somemore office hours. -

This is funny now. Singapore is already soo damn small and there are people who didn't know there are shopping centers in Jurong?

Jurong Point is one of the best neighbourhood shopping center I would say.. Best for all the NTU students.. hehe..
But yeah, the parking fees are ridiculous. Well what can Singporeans do about it anyway other then talk about it in forums? Rules are rules in Singapore aren't they? Public's opinion is of no use I think.. -
jurong east central got another problem tat sucks. the MSCP beside citibank, dun park there during lunch time. i ever struck in a JAM inside tat carpark for 45 mins. juz imagine, jam inside a carpark n u need to rush back to work.

One good idea!!!!.
Park at IMM (Free Parking), then take free shuttle bus service to Jurong Point.
Then take the free shuttle bas back to IMM to take back your car......
You saves on parking....... -

there is 1 multi-story carpark opposite JP
quite hot spot for people to book 1..
must go further up..i heard..
the last time i park @ JP is $2 per entry nia..duno abt the charges now -

ERP increase, Petrol increase, parking also must increase.
Now more and more gantries in SG, plus so exp just to pass thru them.
Parking rate increase is foreseeable.
Afterall, even season parking in HDB also increase like siao.

IMM car park has always been free. It became crowded ever since Giant moved in as the anchor tenant. At one point, they put up the car park barrier to implement paid parking but it was axed and the barriers were removed. How I know so much is I used to stay next to IMM for 7 years before I moved out 2 years ago. Before that, I also used to shop at IMM (early to mid 90's) because I was a member there when the place was occupied by "Mega Mart" and I still do nowadays.
But I am disappointed if really JP decide to increase the parking fees. besides IMM, I do go JP. I remember that they used to charge $2 per entry and being one of the first few Car Parks in Singapore that accept Cashcard at the entry / exit point. -

Anyway JP got TP to design and build a intelligent carpark.
And in the end they invested in a design which consist of a camera which will read your number plate, store it in the database.
Then come out same thing happen, then see how long you park and charged accordingly.
But they were charging $2 per entry which I don't understand why they want to use database to calculate the timing and pricing.
Then camera slow. Road outside jam. Buses going into interchange also jam.
Everything jam.
That's why they decided to let people pay when going in and then come out no barrier, just drive out. So change 1 out lane to in lane. Which is 3 lanes going into carpark and 1 lane going out instead of the 2 and 2 in the first place.
And this is using cash card, which is one of the first carpark to implement cashcard payment. Then carpark jam again because a lot of cash card no money. They got to station a guard to help people top up cash card.
Then they happy happy change to the current ERP system kind and so change charges. And i think their charges for parking is on the high side for a neighbourhood shopping center.
They used to charge $1 per entry before 5pm and $2 per entry after 5pm.
Then now that day i was there like 2 hours plus and got charged $4.80...
and they have no sign saying that they change the parking system and no time to go read small wordings because got car behind me... -
Got pros n cons la... Pros is that turnover of the cars will be faster now that the parking charges are more ex. Thus easier to find a lot... Simillar to Causeway Point. $1 for first hour and 50c for subsequent half hour even for wkends... thus never have a problem finding a lot there... But i must admit that the parking rate is a bit on the high side.
