Red Light, Red Arrow...STOP!

  is it so difficult to understand wat a red arrow represent? why so many drivers out there like to proceed n wait in the junction box while the red arrow is on?

  because the green light normally means that you can go wherever you like i guess.

  Yes, some (but not many) tend to mis-read the Red Arrow at junctions. Because I believe they read the arrow, NOT the COLOR red - which means STOP.
  
  Red Arrow = Turning Please Stop / Do Not Turn Yet
  
  So, pay attention to color codes as well. Not just arrows or any directional symbols.

  No it is not. Just that some people like to test the system only.
  
  Many motorist are impatient to wait. It's like, since there's no incoming car, why not I simply turn and go?

  just a while ago i nearly proceed on a red right turn arrow den i realized i can't proceed cos it's red. din notice it cos i was looking at the round green "go straight" light instead.
  
  came back home surf net and i see this..
  
  will take precautions from now on

  i tink singaporean should be smart enough to realise tat since red = stop, then red arrow = stop turning... maybe some drivers are color-blinded so they tot it means can turn... well, maybe LTA should replace these red arrows to a line across the arrow, which means no turning... just like no parking.

  waiting inside the junction box will not get u ram by oncoming traffic provided u stay inside the turning pocket, hv u got a QDL?
  
  i heard tat color blind ppl see red to green, whereas green become red.
