Thinking of buying a WRX now.

Dear all,
Anyone can give good advise on whether should i get a rex in the next 3 months.
Some say the new rex is coming out begining of next yr, some say next yr end.
Also, a new rex will cost $92k and monthly over 10yr will be $960/m
a one yr old rex will cost $78k and monthly will still be around $930/m
any advise should i get a 1 yr old one or a brand new rex?
Also, whats the interest rate for 2nd hand car?
Any here earning $3k here and drove a rex? please share your experience on how u manage your $?

hi am driving a rex,buy a new one instead...to mi if i were u i will buy now cos i dun see any nice in the 06 model dun like the front gille....
it 2.5l but u have to think abt the rd tax n the insurance it much more expensive then the 2.0l...
2nd hand rex interest is more if im not wrong
if u have the money buy the sti instead cos with the same mod on a rex and the sti,the sti will get a better result cos of the engine
And u will loves the boxer when it roar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.5 litre is not a joke lor. and i expect the new wrx will be priced at least about about 100k.

no offence but seriously,i think a salary of 3K+ is not sufficient to support a WRX,be it brand new or 2nd hand.U have to consider the fuel consumption,insurance,servicing,blahblah...unless u have very little family commitments financial wise,i think its not wise to get a WRX..my neighbour hu's a major in the army is currently driving a sti..He says he has to top up petrol every 3-4days..and the amt he's paying for fuel is enuff to purchase another Vios!

yah u have to think abt the fc also .....tat depends on ur right leg
im going at 400km per full tank if im light on my right leg can goes to 420km full tank
servicing at 5000km each time when u have a rex u will tends to mod ur car n let mi tell u this U will NEVER stop modding it .............
seems like never end
At 1st i buy my rex i also say i like the stock n i will not do any mod but in the end i failed

I love the Rex too. Heard that it's less than $90k now (well, if you got the right connections).
I am earning close to $4k but I already have problems upkeeping my Honda Fit. $3k? Hmmm... Unless you got 'financial support' la. -
1 piece of advice for you.
When buying a Subaru, always try to get from authorised dealers instead of straight from Motorimage. You definately get a better price from the authorised
dealers as they have more leeway to negotiate.

finanical stress too... sigh, but i cant seems to fall on eyes on any other
models.. You know lah, why buy a car u dun like and stress at least 3-4yrs
over it.. I seriously will re-consider. My friend FC is abt $800/mth!!!!
another thing is oh my dear friend, new 06 model coming out real soon??
Dear friends, how much do you spend in all for your rex per month.
My family is not rich, i have to stretch a 10yrs 100% loan on it

Rex ... very nice car... good looking, powerful.
But based on the FC and its capacity, it ll be very expensive to maintain one.... its easy to buy but not easy to maintain. -

06 model issit the front ugly tat model???lik pig nose tat one har...
FC depends lah...i full is bout $70, can go bout 360km there +- when normal driving...er..if u play wid friends..littererly, u can see the fuel needle moving when go for breaks....
Per month for my rex is lik..parking 90 hdb mscp, fuel can be estitamated minimun $400 - $ depends......
Hv to set aside some $$ for summons, those cashcard etc...
Severcing is ok lor...not very exp....
BUT...when u get this kind of car, u slowely will mix wid groups driving this car, then u slowely will come out wid money to do ur performance...tat's where the evil start.... my monthly pay $900 there....abit "siong"...
so mayb per month add up will be u need $1500 to standby ba....
Drive rex got few type of people.
1.Parents damm rich
2.Got do big business
3.Work like hell to keep the car(i'm tis catagory )
4.Those doing easy money ppl...
5.Got normal job then got side line...
bascially, if u got bout 2.5k per month can liao...spend wisely,save for rdtax & insurance, dun always step gas....it should be enough but the life will be like or-bak-kak....cun go out for fun as much.. -

Actually i am think to get a 2nd hand one yr car becos of the following
reason.
1) mostly already been done up quite nicely
2) 3 yrs to break even instead of 4 for a new car.
(i foresee not driving the car for more than 3 yrs)
3) new model coming out, no point getting a new old model rite?
