Which one would you choose and why? Their prices are almost the same now ...

think hyundai designers deserve 2 be fired if one fine day ppl finally decide 2 choose their cars according 2 the pricing instead of their lifestyle needs.

So far the positive feedback I read about Matrix are from Family man that always drive his family around. Slow and stable, so FC will not hurt that much plus don't need that massive torque feel too (wait the kids vomit).
Getz would be less spacious in size, however still spacious enough for the single or newly-wed. It protray a more young feel with a couple of decent kits and mods available. Drive feel and engine power wise, it had be reviewed to be among the best in the "tiny" car sector. And being smaller, it FC is much better than Matrix, but still fall short of the general car makes in the market. With discipline driving, 13-14kpl shouldn't be a problem. -

pricing about the same. and each of them got different values to different ppl.
matrix is spacious but performance is sluggish and fc is high. family man who need 2 ferry lots of ppl on a budget might feel dat matrix more value 4 money.
getz is less generous on the interior but more zippy 2 drive around without hurting the wallet too much on petrol either. a young car owner looking for a practical budget ride might consider this as more value for money.
so ultimately, it still boils down 2 which group u belong to. asking general questions like this is like asking uncle selling char kway tiao whether he thinks more chilli tastes nicer or less chilli tastes nicer. how the he|| he know wats ur taste like? -
He just want to heard what your opinion/reason for choosing which. Then he will use those to judge which position he is in. I'm actually targeting Getz but then "Hey! Matrix is bigger and only slightly more expensive".
Getz is what I want now but Matrix could meet my long term need. -
matrix sucks petrol...
its too heavy.
but it ll b useful if u r ferrying ur family.
big n comfort inside. -

IMO, the matrix is a turn off for 2 reasons. one of the ugliest mini mpvs on the road coupled with horrendous fc. -

What is the fuel consumption for Getz? My friend told me it's around 7 to 9 km, which is low.

Driving style: Normal driving, on ard 60% expressway, 40% start stop traffic.
Not too bad...but maybe becos it is a new car...meaning that it gets progressive worse as time goes by...
