In Italian, the letter c is pronounced as "ts" if it comes infront of an e or i, as in Cixi (tsi-hsi). However, many pronounce it as "ch". The ch sound is actually "kh" as in Chianti (khyan-ti).Originally posted by CryoGenic:Murcielago is mur-ci-eh-laa-go though I've seen some tv shows pronounce as mur-chee-eh-laa-go.
Gallardo is Ga-jiar-doe, but the j not so harsh, sounding slightly like a Y.
Silent "r"? I thought it was "shevrolay"?Originally posted by kalangkabo:share-vole-lei?

BMW = Bayerische Motoren Werke (in german)Originally posted by iveco:BMW is the acronym for Bavarian Motor Works, just as MAN means Machine factory of Augsburg & Nuremberg.
I'm not sure how to spell the German equivalent of BMW's full name, but I know MAN's full name is spelt Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nurnberg (pronounced "machinenfabric augsburg-nuirnberg").
yah i agree.. you are spot on on the gallardo.... i always problems pronouncing the other one though... so i will end up prononucing stuff the way jeremy clarkson does on top gear.. hahahahaOriginally posted by iveco:In Italian, the letter c is pronounced as "ts" if it comes infront of an e or i, as in Cixi (tsi-hsi). As for double l being pronounced as "y", it seems to come from Spanish, as in Mallorca (ma-yor-ca).
The japs pronounce it as ay-vo-lu-shun...Originally posted by Theatre Of Dreams:Maybach: my-bok
