Change exhaust, the bigger the better. Also change to open pod air filter, the bigger the better. For added effect, add one blow off valve.

go buy a CD called "exhaust sounds" put it in your car's CD player and turn on your volume to max. buy now and they will throw in "NOS sounds" for free!

1. tipical way is de-cat,change end-box, stright thru pipe(of-cos change bigger size eg:3")
2. Extrator also change(sound better cos better air-flow)
3. Do mandual bending of exhaust
4. The cut & weld piece by piece to form an angle instead of mandual bend.Tat should sound best as heard from friend cos i not using tat.
Open-pod filter(although is dirty but more air).Use better spark plug, or make ur mixture rich to get backfire effect(the piack sound)...
U wan even better, Do a side plant, meaning half way(at ur cat convertor) there, make a opening, the sound come out is very loud....
(but hv to make another throttle body to make it 2 way..dunno how to explane)
Void warrenty is MAY, if u go back servecing,the see may void you,also got some after change exhaust, the sensor will make a "check light on"
When go inspection, either change back to original exhaust or u can go for those real expensive approved by LTA exhaust system(count by $k) -

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.
b) Certifications or test reports from independent test laboratories such as TUV, DEKRA, JVIA, VCA etc. to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.
what does this mean? can i just go to a workshop with a LTA compliant exhaust system and just install it? or do i have to seek approval from LTA then proceed to the workshop?

whats the price difference for urs and LTA approved ones?
you don find it lei chei to change meh? each time change b4 inspection... they charge u only labour fee? where u keep ur stock exhaust? at home ar? -
I change my extractor and also put straight thru but i never change the tip and I asked Fong Kim make mine as soft as possible....got power can liao... why attract the attention

spent bout $800 there..
LTA pass one for the end box alone can hoot till $500 ++ liao...if u go stpower see, those approve is $3k++++
Fong kim there at $2k plus & up...
i never change back during inspection, i throw to workshop, ask them go see, gv some kopi $$ can liao lor... -

chop off ur rear muffler can liao. i confirm, guarantee dai chop stamp will be louder than a ferrari. want loudness no other way. LTA compliant exhausts are all "muted" 2 keep within their 98 db limit. might as well do it the illegal way and wait 2 get caught and fined $500 bucks. -

"Approved" got brand end box alone may cost u $500 liao....
Those count by thousands is those whold piece....of cos those very expensive is got brand one lah....cos "eat name mah"......
My uncle old golf, he put a "ottenglier" end-box alone cost him bout $800 liao...those approve type...
After he sell away golf , he buy a passat, he go put the ABT exhaust cost him few thousand...also those approve..cos got brand mah...
I go inspection at LTA....jus that i ask workshop ppl to bring my vehicle for inspection...$80 bao ka liao......includsive of paying them..so the workshop ppl earn abit lor... -
aiyah sound is not impt la...performance is....just change yr extractor and get a bigger downpipe is more than enough liao la....so loud 4 wad....somemore straight thru u WILL lose your bottom end so its not really worth it...esp with auto car...
