Always Fail TP due to parking!! Help

hi everyone..
i just feel that i am really a loser.. i fail again for the third time again today .. i got no problems outside the road .. onli parking.. espically directional change and vertical.... for vertical its ok ok .. but i got problems with directional change.. its like i reversed in .. but when going out.. my left back wheel keep hitting the kerb!!!! My training centre is BBDC.. and the car model i using is vti.. Maybe i should change to honda city or exi??? i want a smaller car this time.. i had enuff... another question.. is honda city smaller or exi?? which model can full lot the steering wheel more???? -

my friend during directional change and when coming out u hit kerd isit?
Ans: move out slowly and turn onli when yr side mirror ( on the passenger side) is in line with the kerb. i frm BBDC also. try Vtec n city b4. it will work.

dun b discouraged.since u regconise ur weakness,just work on it more.are u using a private instructor?if u are u can request ur instructor to do more directional changes w you.practice makes perfect my friend.gd luck.

I thought I may never pass driving too and it too me a total of four times to pass.
When I failed the third time, I thought I need to change my instructor, but he assured me that I will pass on the four time.
I did. Dun be overly anxious to get the licence, when you do, you will end up screwing it up. Just make sure you learn what you need to learn....
Driving on your own for the first time may not be very fun if you suck at it.

well.. i jus pass my test recently. i was using the exi model. maybe u can try reversing back more to ur right side so tat on ur left side u have enuff space to turn out.

y are those who can pass in the vti but not u? accept it, its the driver's prob, not the car's. understanding and accepting ur weakness is the first step in overcoming a problem. living in denial and blaming constant factors such as the test car only aggravates ur situation. the car, the parking lots and the 3 point turn lots are dead. the driver isn't. knowing when and where to steer ur car as it moves is a fundamental driving skill which requires a constant awareness of ur car's position with respect to its surrounding roads/kerbs. take it positively lah, as much as it sucks 2 pay all dat $$$, failing now and learning from ur mistake is better den getting ur license at ur level now and risk wrecking ur car on a lamppost/kerb/railings or running over a poor pedestrian's toes while he's waiting at the road side 4 u 2 make a 3 point turn.

Even give you smaller car , you will hit also lah !!! hi guys, i currently oso learning at ssdc......... now i complete 19 lessons liao....... n 1 more lesson to assesment subject 34...... i have spend around $1300. is it considered a lot ar? usually wud spend around how much?

well compared to bbdc, ssdc is much more cheaper. coz we have more lessons than ssdc if i'm not wrong. But total include test fee all tat, i spend bout 1700+ bucks. lucky i pass the first attempt if not have to top up more.

dun worry jsut go out further b4 you turn the wheel lor andyway you practicse more and relax during the test can le alot of pple fail only becuase the nervous

this is the tip given to me by my pte instructor.. hes a very good instructor! my circuit got full marks...maybe u can try my instructor.. 1 hour $22 only.. he has given me many tips on circuit and on the road techniques.. sorry my drawing sucks heh heh.. hope this can help u anyway -
i believe it's because you turned abit too late when you are reversing.. that will cause ur car to be more on the left side of the lot.. try turning abit earlier.. it helps..
always check ur left and right mirrors to know the position of the car (whether it's more to left or right) before moving out.. if it's on the right.. you can safely turn out (just treat it like ur crank course turning, be confident!).. if it's more to the left (beware! wheels near curb).. steer to the right at low speed before full-locking to the left to turn out..
if u think there's any chances that you might hit the curb.. remember! don't try your luck.. don't be afraid to do corrective action.. just reverse to get enough space and continue..

I 'd this problem before when am approaching my test soon ..
just relax when doing the directional ..don't worry too much .. remember to use the correct tactic teaching from your instructor and sure you be able to master the skill very soon!
Be confident and this nothing to do wif size of the car.

anyway... just for ur info..a smaller exi and city model are much better models to do circuits... its not that i am blaming the car or what.. if the car is bigger.. then everything have to be very very precise , one mistake then tats it...... dun belive me ... go ask ur ex instructors... and see what they say abt the exi and city vs vti.... yesterday morning.. during practice training... the damn vti car that was driving screwed up.. the brakes are so so hard... and the steering wheel 's power steering broke down... i cant belive it...... later exam... damn.. got the same tester.. the Quack Ah Hock from BBDC.. kns.. this guy hardly pass ppl one.. for the first 5 min.. he will find something to Immediate Fail u.. then tell u go home.. maybe he just want to go for early lunch or what.. my session no one pass... sianz.... haizz.. anyway.. i am changing car model... maybe to exi ba... cause i used to be driving that car before i switched to vti... belive me.. parking was never made easier with this kind of small car... ps.. why dun driving centre have cars like suzuki or nissan march this kind of small cars for parking..

If you are not confident, nothing will help you. If you cannot park means you cannot park. No matter how hard you try also no use.

Actually the size is not much difference between this two.... unless u are toking about changing from Nissan to Honda. Being from BBDC in fact I have drove in VTI and EXI both are almost the same in term of turning and everything.

I passed under that tester from BBDC. 8pts. 6pts circuit. 2pts on the road. Drove Honda City. You need to show the tester that you are confident in

Actually the instructor should teach you how to do them bf the test. U need to pratice more to gain confidence.
I use to remember the method by hard.
" In( right), out(left), out in"
1. In - Turn the steering fully to the right. Once u see the pole at the centre of the car, stop.
2. Out - Turn the steering 1 time out . Reverse until car is in the centre of the line
3. Out - Turning the steering 1 time out. Reverse until car is into the parallel parking lot.
4. In - to straighten the car.
To bring the car back,
" 1/2 In, 2 out"
1. 1/2 In - turn steering and reverse a little.
2. 2 Out - Turn steering and move forward. U should be on the road now.
U have to take note of the environment around such as road conditions.
If all else fail. u should
1. Fire the instructor!!!!
2. Quit driving and get a chauffuer -
there're some difference in the turning radius of the exi and vti.. go for the car that you are often practicing with.. it is not about the size of the car but the adaptibility of the driver to the car.. different cars got different profiles (biting point, brakes, accelerator, power, etc etc).. it depends on whether the driver can adapt to the difference and drive like any other cars.. keep ur mind calm.. control the car.. dun let the car control you!

actually if u just follow the instructions, you won't hit the kerb... i've never encountered any problems when i follow the instructions religiously.
but then, i can't remember the instructions now la.
changing to a smaller or bigger car is just giving yourself an excuse.
here's a situation that I usually gripe about : new drivers after passing try to handle a "bigger" car that they have no ability to handle thus resulting in an accident or death of a fellow motorist. -
U had seriously lack of confident in bigger car ..and
U have not really adapt the correct tactic and enough skill to master the curves .. in this way think you should do more practicing on your weak points.. and this would help you to overcome your weakness. -
i don't think the problem lies with which car u are driving or which tester u got.
most of the time is that during the test u either too kan cheong or u too confidence that u forget the actual step. cos i think those learning in sch shld have the step to follow as in when to turn, what to see before u turn etc.. so i think if u really follow it, there is no way they won't pass u. but one thing i feel that the timing of the test is very important. (due to traffic in circuit and main road)
