signal ur intention first.. steer ur car to position it slightly to the right but still keep within ur lane (dun steer out of ur lane).. check ur mirrors (rear and side).. when it's clear, turn ur head to check your blindspot.. den proceed.. your steering should be minimal.. your vehicle should 'glide' out smoothly from ur lane and not 'force' ur way out..
do the same again when u are changing from lane 2 to 1.. and remember ur mirrors and blindspot as well.. it's ok if you hav to travel straight for awhile on lane 2 before changing to lane 1 (depends on traffic).. doesn't have to 1 shot change from lane 3 to 1..
safety always come first.. if traffic is tight, signal then slow down ur car.. cos that will allow more cars to pass you by ur side over a shorter period of time.. if u speed up and they speed up, u forever no need change lane.. remember this..
"steer minimal" = imagine the steering wheel as a clock.. you should onli steer the most 5 min to the left or right to be consider not abrupt..
all the best to ur test.. remember.. stay calm and confident.. the tester will not want to see a nervous you cos it will imply that you can't drive under pressure..
GOOD LUCK !
