Just wanted to check if anyone has anything to comment on the toyota vios 1.5E. Thinking of getting it, as people seems to say that it's a good car with good FC and accs. True?

Ok... but seems to me like the resale value of a manual is not as good. Also in singapore were there is jams everywhere, it's quite a hassle to drive a manual.Originally posted by Theatre Of Dreams:imho, the most value-for-money car with good performance. the 1.5E manual that is![]()

the only bad thing i can think of is attributed to the good things. too good until it becomes too common. think outta 10 cars i c on the road now got 4 vios!Originally posted by lighthand:Anyone with bad things to say about the vios![]()
Lancer. Spacious, sporty look. Made in Japan, but doesn't mean it has not quality issue. Slightly more responsive SEs. Power isn't that bad, should be far from Vios. Handling quite good due to its steering and long wheel base. If FC for Vios is normal, FC for lancer would be normal, about 12-13kpl for manual.Originally posted by lighthand:Any idea if there are other better cars out there within the same price range? Also the people at BM, don't seem to be a very nice lot. Even when I show interest in the car, I still get the hum.. ho... treatment.

Optra. Spacious, executive look, classic!!! Korean made, ...... no major out-standing issues so far. Quite friendly SEs, easily the best SEs I encountered so far. Power, a little ...... . Anyway, it is a comfort level car. FC should be about 11kpl or so, not sure.
For Vios and Lancer, get Manual. Jams in Singapore is nothing compared to those when you try to enter Singapore from JB during peak hours. Very easy to get use to it. Of course if you are lazy by natural, I have nothing to say. Vios auto is quite decent too, power still among the better ones around. But I would suggest City-idsi (are they still available?) for its better auto-tranmission technology. Auto lancer, personnally don't re-commend it.
No more in Japan? Any idea where now?Originally posted by derrick_sg2005:Lancer are not manufacture from japan anymore, if i am not wrong.. It was the sales person from c&c told me.........
Agree.. auto lancer, cannot buy.. its really crapy.. anyone wan to go test drive, make sure step on the gas and rev the car alittle.. you will understand why we dun recommend this car.Originally posted by wbucket:Vios auto is quite decent too, power still among the better ones around.
