HELP!!!jus got my licsence today!

Hi guys, got some ques to ask u guys. I jus got my cls 3 today at ssdc. In the evening, i tried to drive my dad's 2000cc mercs. N i suck at it when i do parking!! issit becos of the cc tats y ar? i feel reali strange when driving the car too, can anibody help me?
Btw, Honda Civic is a how mani cc car ar? n wad bout toyota corrolla? ani recommendation car for a begginer like mi?

every car is different, u need time to get used to one -
issit mercs more diff to control? cos when i reversing ar, dam diff sia. n the surface area like veri strange. i tinking of renting car 1st.... ani recommendations

of course feels different lah. and its not coz of the cc.
merc is much bigger in dimensions compared to a civic and therefore more tricky 2 manuveur around tight spots. the turning radius is also different and these are factors unique to each different car. it juz a matter of getting used to a new car all over again. practice makes perfect.
ideal car for a noob? hard to say since individual skills do vary, even if u are a noob. but if u are talking bout ease of parking then i suggest u get a small hatchback with small turning radius. -
Since u just passed your driving, its best not to drive alone as yet... get an experienced driver to sit beside u at least for the first 6 mths, or better still, first year. U certainly wouldn't want to lose your licence because of some stupid accident or demerit points in your probation period.

you need to gain experience.
because you maybe have been driving civics while learning to dirve... you are used to it's rate of acceleration.
So on a more powerful car... control seems difficult for you.
moreover, different cars have different blind spot size.. you gotta learn how to guage this on different cars.
try to gain experience by driving more.

Merc is big... more blind spots... heavier too.. and more poweful .. parking needs more judgement and of cos practice. errr actually i drove my dad's car the day i passed too.. but its no merc... wahaha and i got ML before that.
Honda civic is 1.6 1.8? haha corolla is 1.6 or 1.8 loh.
Begginner drive picanto or kelisa... best... easy to park.. save fuel too -
maybe can get ur dad to get u a honda civic to let u have more time on the road with a car ur pretty familiar with? coz it would be very dissimilar if u just passed and drove a merc... unless of coz ur dad dun mind.. coz if ur a new driver and driving a car ur not really used to.. risks of having an accident are higher ba..

its just cos its a diff car
i remember when i changed cars to drive first 1 km was like swerving abit left and right but after awhile no prob le its jsut a matter of getting used to it drive slowly at first cos you not used to it dun learn from me drive too fast

it all boils down to getting used to your ride.
drive more and you will be more confident with your skill. -
get your dad to teach u the tricks of parking the merc. thats wot my mom did. i got used to the merc about 3 days after i got my licence. practice makes perfect. and parking, nobody uses what they teach in sch because nobody carries a set of poles around for parking judgementOriginally posted by NSBOY83:Hi guys, got some ques to ask u guys.
