As far as i know there are four nearby places to go for Gokart...
1. Taman Jurong
2. Permas Jaya ciruit(Johor Bahru)
3. Bintan
4. Batam
Taman jurong
For me Taman Jurong is expensive and the track is not long enough...

Went to JB once...Gokart there is very good for me...long track and decent price... last time my friend took me in his car... now i am thinking of going again, but this time by Taxi from JB customs checkpt

Iam thinking of bringing my mom there too...and hopefully go to some tourist spots

The track at permas is actually very challenging, if they open up the full track. which they normally don't. Consist of 3 consecutive downhill hairpins with a big right sweeper uphill exit. Several people crashed out the the exit during races. Pretty bad ones....

I like the track and the gokarts but..... not the run-off areas.... so if u lost control of your kart ....it is possible for the kart to overturn
because the run-off areas are very bumpy.... ya...it is challenging and i like it.. -
I very much prefer the PJ one than Taman Jurong. The track is so much more fun and challenging. How often do you go? And how many sessions per trip? I'm damn itching to go down soon man..

i went to gokart 2 days ago at JB... the price for 10mins is S$13.00....but u need to pay them an initial deposit of S$22.00 (which u will get back when u leave the place) ....now compare that with Taman jurong's S$40.00 for 10mins...

next time i go there ...iam going to do endurance driving.... do 30 mins non stop driving.... last time i did a 20mins straight and my hands started to shake a bit after i got out of the kart.... wow! shiok!

Regarding the Permas Karting Circuit
1)wat equipment is needed (Eg. need own helmet or not)
2)take taxi from woodlands checkpoint ard how much and how long? -
no need to bring anything...helmet is provided...
Take taxi after exiting JB checkpoint...should be around S$10... and when u want to return to JB checkpoint...they will help u call a taxi
try not to damage their Gokart by crashing heavily...u will then need to pay some extra money for the damage... like one of my colleague who paid 300 (singapore money or malaysian money i dont know)
so what u need in driving is controlled aggression -

Has anyone tried going flat-out (full throttle) at the first corner after the start finish line
....
i currently break a bit so that i can stay inside the white line...cos outside the white line(near the tyre wall) at this corner...the track is bumpy....

Went to the Taman Jurong course on Friday..with the NUS motoring club.

there is one that i went to... the gokarts were really fun and there was a long track.. erm.. its perdana? or start with p.. i cant remember.. my bad.. when i think of it i will search for the details and post it up again
