Had found some silver coated signal bulbs that is suppose to make your signal lights totally white, without the orange tint when they are not in use. Looks very nice when the lights are not in use. But found that when the signal lights are turned on, the amber light given off is slightly on the reddish side and also not as bright as the original signal light bulbs. Not sure if LTA or TP have any issues with these light bulbs. Anyone have any idea. Thanks.
Which brand of silver coated bulb u use? Shouldn't be a reddish tint..
Philips silver vision is silver coated, and produce a nice orange light which is bright also. cost about $20 for a pair.
As long as its orangey, TP shouldn't have a problem. But if you are using an aftermarket tailight (ie altezza light), they may have a problem with that., even if it has SAE DOT rating. Dunno if its rumours, but heard that some ppl kena fine even though their lites have SAE DOT rating which is supp to be the foreign "approved for street use" standard.
