Why YRX turbo? Not even in the same league by a long shot. -

Evo should come first ba ... WRX only the higher rpms have pulling power.
If its a Evo 9 i think it can tears every one on the list cause the turbo starts spooling at 3.5k rpm and the mivec works with it at around 4.8k rpm ... the pulling power is great! but personally haven't tried it with W yet ....
If its a 400m Dash i would vote for the DC5R .... (DC5 drivers, you know why)

i am currently considering DC5, do u think its value for $. people keep telling me abit more can get wrx liao. of course evo is ideal but not within my budget. -
that's provided the DC5R gets a decent launch and some minor tweaks against a stock evo. short distance pickup, and the evo will leave some pretty clean tracks for the DC5R.Originally posted by v0ice:Can tell me more why

i suppose u are talking bout the sti and the DC5R and not the normal base rex and the DC5 GSR? those are in another further league compared with the evo. but y bother which car goes faster in a straight line? IMO u can make any car go as fast as ur pocket takes u. more importantly, its wat u want out of the car as a driver dat should form the basis of ur choice. -

Over such a short distance, though, normally aspirated cars may just have the advantage over turbos, depending on turbo lag and how good the low-end torque on each car's engine is. -

liew, cannot defy the law of physics mah. a well tuned evo 4G93 with a tua turbo can hit at least 450 to 500 whps whereas a well tuned K20A with quad throttle so far hold the record of "only" 300 whps. comparing tuned states, i'd say the evo has a better bet (of course if its some simple IHE mods for the evo only dun say lah)Originally posted by johncooper:Bro ... yeah, i know what the stock engine is capable of. but it takes some time for the DC5R to overcome the low end disadvantage the evo has over it in terms of the huge gobs of low end torque and AWD traction. -
yeah man ... the low end is crappy for the DC5 R against the Evo but after the fourth gear its clear that the N.A. DC5R have the obvious advantage over the TC Evo9 .... (both stock conditions of course)
