Class 4 driving license at Jurong

i am thinking of taking up a class 4 license. its at jurong.
anyone presently taking class 4? can advise?
is it as difficult as the class 3 one?

1.Where can I apply for Class 4 and 5 driving license?
You can apply for Class 4 and 5 driving license at Pan Country Driving Centre.
2. Where is Pan Country Driving Centre?
The driving centre is just by the side of Jurong Stadium. Road name is Fourth Chin Bee Road.
3.How much will is cost?
There is a package that allows you to enroll for class 4 and 5 together at the cost of about $750. If you are just going for the class 4 driving license, it will cost you about $450 just for one license.
4.What is the difference between class 3 from class 4 and 5 ?
The difference is mainly the turning radius and the braking. The turning radius is wider then a normal class 3 vehicle as it is longer. Braking system used on Class 4 and 5 is different from class 3 as they are using air brakes. You must get used to the air brake if not you gonna jerk your way throughout on a class 4 or 5 vehicle.

The procedure is the same as you enrol for a class 3 driving license and the duration is about 1 - 2 months time before you actually have your first practical lesson. So alone class 4 will take about 3 months and the same for class 5.
6.Can I book for all practicals one shot?

7.What is the min. requirements for class 4 and 5 ?
You must be 21 of age and must not have more then 12 points in your Driver Improvement Points System(DIPS)
Juz to add, maybe they have upgraded they lorries but I dont think that the lorries are using air brakes for class 4. Any bros recently took class 4 wanna confirm?
You are required to secure the dummy boxes at the rear of the lorry and also estimate the height of the measuring staff being held by the tester. I was fortunate enough to be the last batch which needn't estimate the height jus got to do the securing but had to do the height estimating for my class 5. Not to worry, you will be taught to do the securing and estimation as you progress thru your lessons. -

class 4 passing rate very high, usually.....all passed unless u very special
as for class 5, it really depends on ur skill.
wif a class 4, dun think u can earn much, maybe 2k + of coz class 5 fetch a better pay. can be more than 3k if u r trucking container. -

Airport Cargo : 1.2k-1.4k
Contractor : unfix but cfm exceed the 2k mark

Class 5 is easier in the sense it has no parallel parking and securing of loads
but is more challenge because it involves double-steps declutching technique and the method of downing gear is very different, also when doing a 3-pt turn, you have to pin-point the location between 2 trees very accurately
To play safe for class 4, you may want to grab hold of one of these 14-footer Isuzu lorry (Class 3) from truck rental co. and play with it for the whole day on the test routes mainly at Corporation Rd, International Rd area -
my company driver tat truck container taking more than 3k, full cpf contribution some more. but they leave home at 6am n reach home maybe 11pm. two weeks one off day only. i worked from mon-sat 7am - 8pm then if got night loading ... will work till 10pm depending ... getting more then what he got ...
